avoid this place at any cost

we arrived at 3:30 and room was not ready, so I asked for ETA and local hotel staff rather than giving me ETA rudely told me ‘mam room is not ready do you want room or not’ so we kept waiting until 5:00 PM., no apology from local staff for that ( also they said no discount for local hospital). After we checked-in we realize no water pressure at all in shower (barely any water flow), spider was scrolling on bed as my daughter is alone there, she was so scared to talk to hotel about it. Yesterday I called hotel to modified reservation to let us check out or give us other room and local staff hang-up phone on me, I called 4 time and they kept hanging-up phone. I called reservation twice and they said only local hotel can help you hence I am reaching out to you as no one is helping me here.

Bedbugs

Reviewed 19 may, 2021

My husband and I stayed here for 5 months after ish hit the fan with Covid and we lost our apartment. It started off okay. The halls are filthy but the staff was pleasant and accommodating. The room had a gross smell and needed a proper scrubbing but it wasn't super grimy. It's not the Plaza so I can deal with some grubbiness. But I can't deal with bedbugs. Neither can corporate, apparently. Corporate also can't answer the phone, emails, or Facebook messages. They knew about the bedbugs but are too cheap to take care of it unless the issue went viral and caused a ruckus. For the love of god, don't stay here.

Hotel or Government funded Shelter? I bailed ...

Reviewed 11 may, 2021

A Shelter, based on what I observed. I feel that their employee’s should make an effort to disclose that fact to anyone NOT planning to reside there. And while a government shelter may be good for society at large, it’s odd to find yourself checking into one during a vacation. A well-intentioned family member in the area had steered me to this location, so I never read their reviews or even thought about the place. I just checked in and dropped off my luggage. Later that night I returned and began to notice the issues. Everything was old, dirty and in disrepair. The toilet felt like it had been unbolted from the floor and the crusty fabric on the floor ( carpet?) had a huge dark stain at the foot of the bed. A former crime scene? Sure looked like it . I lined up another hotel and made a run for it after one uneasy night at ESA. My takeaway is that any hotel with the words “ Extended” or “ Residence “ in the name should be viewed through a different lens than in the past. Quite possibly, the State or Federal Government has decided that it now serves as something other than a hotel.

Filthy and tired.

Reviewed 7 march, 2021

Our room reeked of cigarette smoke. There were cigarette burns in the bedspread and holes in the carpet. There was a hole punched in the bathroom door and gouges in the doorframe. Everything in the room was old and worn. There wasn't any bedding for the pull out sofa, which I ended up sleeping on because the "queen" bed was actually a double. Our experience at this place has actually become something of a joke among the other couples that traveled with us, because their rooms weren't great, either. The only good thing about this place is that they let us cancel the remainder of our stay without any trouble.

Rat Infested, Dirt Hole.

Reviewed 23 january, 2021

This is BS!!! I am a single mom, I brought my 4 children here to the Phoenix MidTown location, was suppose to be there for 2 NIGHTS, unpacked everything, and was getting ready for bed when a RAT RAN ACROSS the living room floor, where the pull out bed was, I had to pack up my children at 8pm at night and leave and try to find somewhere else to stay, which took me 3 hours to do. I had a baby with me who was crawling on that disgusting floor, which obviously hadn't been mopped, ever!!! Spilt water, cleaned it up and the paper towel was BLACK!!! And the pull out bed had PEE STAINS AND SMELLS ON IT!!! No-one has yet to contact me back regarding my refund and I have been super cool and patient about everything. Well not anymore. Someone better refund me my MONEY STAT.
