Such a friendly hotel
Stayed here as a member of a group holiday. First floor single room was appropriately furnished, clean and had the basics. A small balcony provided a sea view from the side. No tea and coffee facilities and a limited number of electrical points for charging and the TV only showed Italian channels. The staff were welcoming, efficient and always happy to help, and give advice. Food was excellent - plenty of choice for breakfast and delicious evening meals. A small bar, sometimes overwhelmed at busy times, was reasonably priced and had good stock. There are plenty of areas to relax, both outside and inside. There is a lift.
Enjoyed our stay
Positives: Room was clean with plenty of space, balcony and a lovely view of the mountains. Rooftop terrace was impressive, fabulous views of the mountains and the sea. All staff friendly and helpful. Negatives: No tea & coffee making facilities. Food was very hit and miss, some of it very good and some of it not good. You are given a menu for the following day but some of the descriptions are a bit woolly - I can work out what 'grilled cockerel' is but when I ordered scallop I expected a fish dish not a slice of ham covered in cheese (maybe it was a language problem). Dinner was at 7.30, bit late for me although I accept everyone is different in this respect. I enjoyed my stay but it could certainly have been better.
This is a good choice. I loved that we could rent bikes for free from the hotel, and easily move around the area. It´s also right next to Nikki Beach Club. My favorite part of the hotel was the rooftop terrace.
Excellent hotel to use as base visiting Tuscany
We stayed from 19/9/17 for one week travelling with Preferred Travel from Leicester. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, our room was excellent as was dinner. The views from the sun trap hotel roof for approx 30 to 40 miles were amazing. The walks on the beach were enjoyable as were the trips to Lucca and Florence. Excellent base to visit Tuscany
Wonderful ambience and great food
My wife and I visited this area with our friends from Sansepolcro. We enjoyed our room and this lovely hotel very much. The terrace on the top of the building was a treasure, with great views and a breeze and quiet perfect for that afternoon nap. We also really enjoyed the food. The staff, all the way from the owners to all the wait staff and housekeeping treated us wonderfully. All the staff seemed to really enjoy their work and were very hospitable. We loved having access to the hotel bicycles which we used often to ride along the beach and to ride in the pleasant nearby streets with lots of shops and restaurants. Although one has little control over the AC, we were comfortable throughout our stay. We will definitely stay here again if ever in the area.
