Rude and Ripoff

Reviewed 15 november, 2021

We booked in advance, with no plans to change our schedule. However the day before we were to leave I had an annual visit with my doctor, who recommended tetanus and shingles vaccines, she said any symptoms would likely be mild, so i proceeded. My symptoms were far from mild unfortunately, and I was not able to travel as planned. I requested the hotel to please reschedule at any date of their availability in the next 2 to 3 months, but they refused. I seriously doubt they were 100% capacity for the remainder of the year, and this is just terrible customer service, to refuse refund or date transfer. They were very rude in the phone, and I had no better results from corporate office. I would definitely avoid this hotel, and will in fact never stay at another Red Roof anywhere.

Never stay there again

When I originally made the reservation, I was told I would have to pay the first night and they would take it out of my account immediately. They didn't. They took the stairways out and you have to walk up ramps. I told them I was disabled, but was put on the second floor. I had to pay $100 by credit card because I had a 6 pound Yorkie and he could tear the room up. Now I am waiting for them to return the $100 as a credit. We were told we could bring our dirty towels to the lobby and they would exchange them. The lady gave us a very hard time about getting more towels. I am disabled and informed them of that. They put us on the second floor and they have steep ramps instead of stairs. It was very hard to go up those. The tv was okay, but they didn't have an NBC affiliate at all. So,at night, we couldn't watch anything that we watch on NBC. I called the front desk to be told that they didn't know....they had calls about it frequently even though their tv line up showed it was Direct TV. It wasn't. My husband went down to get coffee. He asked for sweetener and was told they had none. The door locks on the inside didn't work at all and you could see daylight under the door. Who has a plug-in on the door frame? This room did. We had to ask for a receipt for the room at checking out and a receipt for the $100 I haven't gotten back yet. The peep hole had been punched out and a wad of tissue was poked in the hole. Not a great experience.

Warning DO NOT STAY HERE!

Terrible place! Pubic hair in the bathroom, no housekeeping the whole time we were there or clean towels and toilet paper! , Charged fees not disclosed when reservation was made, charged bank/credit card 50.00 of the 100.00 they require as “ damage deposit “ for dog hair on couch.. WE DID’T HAVE A DOG! And “broken knobs” when the knobs came off in my hand as soon as I arrived! Also for a “stain” on the comforter that WE DID NOT EVEN USE because it was dirty upon our arrival so I pulled it from the bed and put it away. All accusations to justify charging me 50.00 on check out were FALSE. Extremely rude and irate acting “manager”. This place is a disgrace! The family in the neighboring rooms experience was worse according to them. I have no how this place would get a decent review on here. Do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST.

We must have caught them on a good week

Reviewed 30 september, 2021

My wife and I have visited 30 countries and 42 states. We prefer B&Bs or small boutique hotels…good luck with either in Pigeon Forge, especially during peak season. After checking into a hotel down the street and checking out in 1 hour, we had to find a “good” place. This was quite difficult, as everyone was sold out, and securing a 2 week stay turned out to be difficult. Then we found this hotel. Greeted by Bob, the owner, we cringed at the daily price but we really didn’t have a choose. So here’s the scoop… Room 239 was great- clean, roomy, good TV, good WiFi, quiet and comfortable beds. Service - unfortunately post-Covid has hit Pigeon Forge hard, every place is hiring at $15-$20 per hour. No one wants to work. That being the case, there was no service but they were very helpful in replacing our towels, trash bags and sheets. Staff - friendly and helpful Pool - spotless (compared to the black one we had just checked out of). Amenities - larger then a mini refer; microwave; sofa bed; large king and a t-shaped desk with two chairs. Tons of parking and two Pancake houses with 200 feet. We were on the 2nd floor road side in a large king room and it was surprising quite. In fact, the hotel was sold out and we never heard our neighbors (w/a dog) or the people upstairs.

This is a great place for the money and location!!! Staff is amazingly friendly and helpful! All the front desk (we personally had Ellen check us in) was super accommodating and sweet. Room was clean and parking easy right off the main strip. Thank you!
