No Hassle Turkey Week Trip

Reviewed 29 november, 2021

Needed a place to stay while visiting family for Turkey week. Decided to try dahntown as something different. The location was great, easy in and out, parking was simple and felt safe directly next door, close to Market Square and had a limited, but decent view of the Mon River. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, hotel bar and restaurant were closed, but could grab a beer and drink in lobby if needed. Only issue, no daily maid service, we survived, but it would have been nice and lots of street noise (sirens) from fire station near by, but again we survived. The view might not be good, but avoid Blvd of Allies side for a little more quiet...

Perfect stay

Greeted by a very nice young lady and up to my room in minutes. Rooms are not big but are super comfy, clean and well appointed. Would definitely stay again. Parking garage right next door is convenient. Be sure to note the rooms a re not large. So, do t go in to this hotel thinking the rooms are large.

Better Options in Pittsburgh

Don’t stay here if you expect to have a place to eat. Restaurant is closed, continental breakfast is a joke and the bar is closed too. If you like to stay in your small room hungry, then this is the hotel for you.

Don’t be fooled

Fist night, the furnace wouldn’t kick on so the room wouldn’t get heat up… they fixed it Same evening while in the lobby a homeless man kept asking me if I could spare any money, when I said no, he then started to berate me telling me he was a doctor and didn’t actually need my money… so that was fun. The hotel didn’t have a restaurant or bar to eat dinner…. No food. Nor realizing when they said no food, that meant no breakfast too. No frozen dinners to buy/eat so u had to find a place near by (hello creepy homeless guy). As for the beds, the pillows were either too firm (like resting your head on a parking lot block) or a flat do nothing pillow that even when folding it in half it did nothing. The bathroom shower had mold around the base of the glass door Finally I’m a Hilton Diamond member…. No food, no bottled water and no one cleaned my room (which that didn’t bother me so much because it’s just me…. But that meant they didn’t restock my room with coffee, because it’s not like the lobby had any. Overall…. This hotel is poorly run and way overpriced! DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY BY STAYING HERE!

Look elsewhere.

Tiny rooms and most staff are unpleasant. Coffee in the lobby only until 11am. Hotel is in an old church - best thing about the place. As a Diamond member I felt slighted and unwelcomed. Other guests were friendly.
