Great Location in Pittsburgh

Stayed here traveling to Rolling Stones Concert. Easy walk to Heinz Stadium for concert. Walkable distance to Downtown for sightseeing. Good restaurants near stadium which was all walkable. Right across from baseball stadium also. Extra charge for parking but it was self serve, in/out and very convenient room was basic suite type with pull out sofa. Small kitchen area with refrigerator and sink. No utensils etc provided Free breakfast was typical.
The great location isn’t worth the aggravation- stay elsewhere!

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to PNC Park. Parking was easy, although the gate to the parking lot was broken. Upon check-in, we found only one elevator working (another sign of the general disrepair). A sign is posted indicating this has been a long-term issue, but at 3 pm on a Wednesday it wasn’t much of a bottleneck. Our room was clean but clearly worn. The closet door didn’t close properly and, we found out the next morning, the shower faucet handle was out of alignment and it took some effort to turn it on and then all the way off. The elevator became an issue when we returned from the ballgame as a number of fans were staying there. It became a SERIOUS issue in the morning when everyone was trying to check out and bring down their luggage. One elevator for an 8-story hotel that was moderately to totally full is simply not acceptable. We walked down from the 4th floor, then realized only the north stairwell opens to the lobby. When we finally found our way to the lobby, I let the front desk know that the elevator situation was a major problem. The man working the desk said he knows but, basically, it is what it is and can’t be helped. There’s no telling when this will be resolved. As I left the desk, the next person checking out made the same complaint. I’m short, the general state of disrepair and the terrible elevator situation completely negate any location advantage this hotel may have. There are other hotels in the area - choose one of those instead.
BE YOUR OWN HOUSEKEEPER, BUT PAY FULL PRICE

If you want a hotel with no hot water, NO HOUSEKEEPING (which they don't tell you about until you arrive and AFTER you've pre-paid), long waits for the elevator because only one works (at least they email you the day before arrival about the elevator, making it seem like it just happened and can't be fixed before you get there. According to another guest, the elevator has been broken for months), plus beds that butt up together so the person on the inside has to CLIMB OVER a sleeping person to use the bathroom at night (see attached pic), this is your go-to place. We had to call and ask for sheets and then put our own sheets on one of the beds. If I wanted to make beds, I'd stay home. Also had to let garbage and towels pile up because no one cleans the rooms. I get it, Covid, but the elevator email should have said we'd be cleaning our own rooms and making our own beds. We've been in numerous hotels since Covid and all of them had housekeeping. When these things were brought to the attention of Josephine at the front desk, she was extremely rude and even apologized to ANOTHER guest who was listening to my husband explain what was going on. She blamed US for not reporting the lack of hot water sooner, but we didn't have time to wait in line to talk to someone until the evening. I've never complained about a hotel before, but this one takes the cake. Look elsewhere.

Marriot needs to put some money into this location. Hotel is worn and needs updating. Sofa bed had huge stain on cushions, big stain on carpet. Bathroom needs updated. Good location for attending Pirate or Steelers game. Soho Restaurant nice with varied menue.
Location, Location, Location

The good... The best part of this hotel is without a doubt the location. It is literally right across the street from PNC Park. The employees are extremely helpful. The king size bed was comfy. Just a few downsides... Onsite parking is available but it is $27 per night and it can be really hard to find a spot in the lot. I also wish they provided more towels- we only had two in the room.
