Hampton Inn Plano-North Dallas

Don’t be fooled. This is NOT a Hilton hotel. It’s been bought recently, and it isn’t associated with Hilton. I arrived for a reservation for two rooms. There were 15-20 people in the lobby that had reservations, but no rooms were available. We were told housekeeping didn’t clean some rooms. We were told there was a broken pipe. We were told that they had accommodated people from a sister hotel. Whatever the reason, no rooms were available. It was late and I had four kids with me, so I asked if they had any rooms under a maintenance hold that may be available. They said yes. The entire 5th floor. They started allowed us to stay in those rooms. Anything was acceptable as it is March madness and no rooms nearby were free. The smell was awful. No towels. The shower had a really bad leak. But we made due. The next day I called to get a price adjustment due to the conditions and the manager at the front desk denied all issues and said there was nothing wrong with any of the rooms. This is after the hotel was at a near riot the night before due to all of the issues. I understand things happen, but I’m writing this review because despite all of the issues my family made the best of it- only for the hotel to lie to Hotwire to refuse a partial refund. The experience for others was worse. This hotel should be avoided at all costs.

This was a terrible Hilton Stay. We arrived late in the evening to find they had lost our reservation . After finally getting a room and getting settled we found no batteries in the remote. I had to go to the front desk and wait for them to look for batteries ( they finally took two out of another device). My first clue on cleanliness should have been the lack of sticker on the door ; the room had caps off used medical devices under the bed skirt and grease spots from food on the nightstand. The carpet had a huge sticky spot on it . After a very late check in we were treated to the housekeeping staff talking very loudly, laughing and talking about personal matters outside our door at 7 am. We were also treated to a cold low / almost no water pressure shower . When I called the front desk I was told nobody else had hot water either. No apologies just very matter of fact. I went to the front for breakfast ( had been told breakfast would be served ) to find bags with stale breakfast cakes. When I got back to the room I found the coffee they had given me was COLD ( suspect it was from the night before ). When I ask to talk to a manager the front desk person looked for him for 20 minutes I checked back after a bit and she said he couldn't be found anywhere. I called the general manager the next day and was told she would issue a refund and call back. Have not seen the refund nor had a call back. I called Hilton Honors as we are Silver members and was told they could issue a refund if I would send in receipt ( even though they could see my stay ) , this was an issue as the hotel could not give me a receipt. They offered a gift card for a night stay, but said it might take up to thirty days for me to receive it. My suggestion is Go to Marriott .............. much better service.

Not bad for a hotel room but very low water pressure in the shower (room on 1st floor) and no ventilation fan in bathroom. Near a Walgreens and alot of dinning options Room had coffee maker, TV fridge and microwave

This hotel is in need of some TLC. Only one old washing machine working, only one elevator working, ice machine leaking water everywhere, cloudy greenish pool, trash piled up in trash can at front entrance, stains on walls from food, etc.

I was so thankful to be able to check in early. Though we experienced a couple of super minor glitches, the weekend was AMAZING. I appreciate great customer service and people who show that they really care. Makes us keep coming back. The staff here are wonderful, caring people. I was able to decorate the room and the door. It was a wonderful birthday weekend
