Excellent place to stay with your family
We stayed there for one night with our two dogs Jack Russell and we were so happy to see everything well prepared for their security, included balcony. :) The room was super comfortable and cozy, bathroom clean and with bath that we asked for. Location is perfect, just one step from the sea. We went to see the sunrise and sunset, the beach has amazing views. The last comment I need to add about the breakfast.. delicious and many things to choose with respect for all conditions of Covid19. I am vegetarian and I was surprised they had as well soya milk for my coffee. The staff very nice and everything well organized. Family atmosphere and good energy from the first moment until the end. We definitely will be back there soon! :-)
Pleasant hotel !
This is a pleasant hotel with very friendly staff. It is very clean throughout and handily placed to enjoy all the two has to offer and just 60 seconds from the beach. When we arrived our room on the fourth floor was very small and we could not have managed there but luckily we managed to swap to Room 231 which was very nice with plenty of room. The bathroom could have done with a bit of modernising but was clean. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was good for a weeks stay with reasonable choice. The bar is handy and the drinks are well priced. The female staff could nto do enough for you which was nice and the lunchtime snacks looked good. One small criticism was no towels for the pool and no warning you needed them.
Friendly & well presented
Visited Platja d’Aro some 33 years ago, what a change since our last visit didn’t recognise the place it has certainly moved up market and with the times. The accommodation we stayed in all those years ago no longer existed so after much research we chose the Els Pins Hotel and what a good choice it was. From the minute you walk through the door you are made to feel welcome the staff friendly and helpful, the decor is bright and cheerful. The bedroom was on the small side but was adequate for our weeks stay, it was clean and well presented. Our stay was on a Bed & Breafast basis, breakfast was in the restaurant situated on the ground floor it was spacious and bright with plenty of tables, with the option to eat outside. Breakfast is self serve plenty of choices, meats, cheeses, fruit, cereal, bread, rolls, cakes etc. there is also a hot food option. Centrally located for all the shops and restaurants of which there are many offering a wide range of menus. The beach is 100 yards from the hotels front door and is of a “gritty” consistency the beach shelves quite steeply as you enter the water. An enjoyable experience would recommend this hotel it is not the Ritz but it doesn’t pretend to be, it is very good at what it does.
Friendly hotel.
Good hotel well placed for beach & for restaurants, bars & shops. Rooms & towels changed every day. Good choice of food for breakfast. One thing if you dont like dogs this hotel is not for you as they allow them to stay. The staff or friendly & try there best to understand you.Also keep money back as they dont charge the tax till end of holiday & they only except cash for this.Overall the area is a great place to visit.
First visit to Platja d’Aro
We would give this 5 stars but the bedrooms need updated. Everything else was spot on - the location - near beach , shops and restaurants. The staff - very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is small but immaculately clean. Good choice of breakfast items for everyone, and snacks available at lunchtime. They do not do dinner but there are plenty of restaurants to choose from within a 5 min walk. The lounge area at reception is welcoming and comfortable. You can leave the books you have read on holiday for others. Platja d’Aro is only a half hour from girona airport so it makes it an easy destination. We will definitely return to this area.
