Sewer Gas Smell in Room

Hotel in bad area and the room smelled like sewer. The worst smelling room I’ve ever stayed in. Manager attempted to charge me 2 extra days when checking out. I had to call Hotels.com and they charged me 1 extra day I didn’t stay at the hotel. Ruined my stay in Playa Del Carmen

I would like to congratulate the hotel , surprised me. It was a long stay of 15 days as I would make a second trip to the usa. They upgraded my room!! It had a nespresso coffee maker with 4 complimentary daily coffees, fridge, window. Everything I needed or requested was promptly attended to. A special thanks to Mr Arturo reception and Maria Jose manager. Would recommend the hotel 1000 times. Great application, I could do everything on foot and safely. Thank you!! 😎🤞

I really don't get the high ratings. The room was comfortable and had a Nespresso coffeemaker. But the plunge pool is tiny and the sun chairs are one level below. I had reserved a deluxe double room because the standard room doesn't have a window. When I arrived at the lobby I wanted to make sure I'd get the room I reserved, the one with a window. The staff told me that I had reserved an interior room and that "Double Deluxe" didn't mean it would have a window . I argued that I specifically reserved a double deluxe because the standard room didn't have a window. I told staffer that anyway, I was leaving the next day. He arranged to give me a room with a window. He said the rate I paid wasn't for a room with a window. Snaptravel offered the double deluxe for about the same price the Double Deluxe is on Booking. Furthermore, I was charged a fee for maid tips and disinfecting. The small print on my reservation said "There will be no additional charges or fees for the room." The Morgana is not a hotel for me. Additionally, the bar and restaurant are closed. While we're in a pandemic, the hotel I moved to for the rest of my vacation had open restaurants and bar.

I LOVE this Hotel! The staff… WOW! Aldo and Cesar were so knowledgeable & helpful with all my questions/concerns. Accommodations… Patio room w/jacuzzi was comfortable & roomy. Location… Perfecto! I have already booked my next stay! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I stayed at Hotel Morgana during November 14-17, I seemed to be the only guest. During my stay, there was no hot water, the only person on site was there around the clock, there was no housekeeper to service the room and no manager on site. At the end of my stay, it seems like the worker who had helped me with my bags, kept one bag. When my credit card company contacted me to let me know of fraudulent charges, I noticed the missing bag and called the hotel, the worker was combative and refused to help. As I asked him to show me the video recording from putting my bags into the taxi, he told me I will need to pay him 40 USD for it. I headed back to the hotel and after a difficult confrontation with that worker, he returned me the bag without the cash or credit cards in it.
