The most perfect vacation
Local animals coati, monkeys and more. Casa de Rosa is a must! Being pampered for a special occasion! Beach Bali beds with the amazing pool butters, Antonio, Alejandro, Bernebi and Pedro! A visit to the Fives’s beach is so special, we came back for a three week stay this time!
Nice views are hardly worth it!
It was a bad sign when we had to transport our own luggage to our room after checking in yet being asked for tips, the property is large and our bags were extremely cumbersome after our flight. The disappointment continued with the lack of open restaurants on site to the point we had to have dinner at the same restaurant 3 of the 4 days. They Thai and sushi we not edible, the rice was burnt, not once but twice in the same meal. Only 2 of the pool bars (including the tiki bars) were open throughout the duration of our trip. They do OFFER top shelf liquor for a fee (keep in mind, top shelf liquor is Kettle One). Our “butler” David provided us a “gift” of a free champagne bottle however the bottle mysteriously was removed from our room when we did not participate in the timeshare demonstration we were herded into by the “butler”. After we declined the timeshare presentation the only interaction our “butler” has with us was a passing hello while we check in the process of checking out. We were also charged $3.50 per room service request which make NO sense considering the lack of formal restaurant (or vendor’s cart) options. There was also an additional charge of approx. $100.00 for an extra beach dining experience that was paid in cash to Omar at Sea Olive. We mentioned this to at least 3 different people at the checkout desk and they refused to reimburse the charges even when our “butler” agreed the charges should be removed. In addition to the charges there was another 16% tip included to the total of the bill. One of the nights on the property, the hotel allowed vendor's selling items you would find walking down the beach. On a night you are trying to spend with your date, you are being constantly being asked to purchase an coffee mug with a Mexican flag painted on it. With the amount I paid for the trip I constantly felt accosted by the staff for trip enhancements, honestly felt low class (and the cherry on top was the timeshare presentation). I personally would not recommend The Fives and would not return.
Amazing
We went to the Fives right before Christmas. The food and service was excellent. The rooms were immaculate. The view off our balconies was trees and felt private. We saw lots of wildlife. They have a pet pig named Pepe that we pet every day. My only complaint is that the ocean bed is a rock and it makes it difficult to be in. The pools were a little chilly except the adult pool. You must make nightly reservations for the restaurants. Most of them are open. They serve top shelf alcohol. I highly recommend this place. My husband and 4 adult children went and we had a great time. Josue was our favorite server. He was awesome! The nightly entertainment was fun, I just wished it lasted longer.
Visited all three of the Residences at the Fives; Oceanfront, Beach, and Downtown.
The trip to all three resorts was beyond belief! The facilities were all excellent; well staffed; and the staff was superior. There are several at the Beach that I would like to mention by name: Eduardo, at La Brassierre; Lidia at La Brassierre, Eduardo, a butler at the Oceanfront; Moises, a butler at the Beach and Downtown; Barbara, the Conciesge at the Downtown. On a scale of 1-10, all facilities and staff would be above the 10.. It is just impossible to say enough for these facilities and staff. I would highly recommend any and/or of these Resorts. The Beach was all inclusive and well worth the price. At the Oceanfront and Beach, we had a two bedroom residence with one king bed bedroom and the second bedroom had two queen beds. Excellent.
Great vacation
My family and I are currently staying here and are having a lovely time. Yesterday we went to the spa (booked thru Carlos who was wonderful) and I had the most amazing massage with Miguel!! Afterwards my daughters and I had manicures and pedicures with Flor and Blanca. So wonderful! We may even come back to the spa if we have time it was so great! The employees here are all so wonderful and gracious and truly care about the guests. And the food has been amazing! Thank you for treating our family so well!
