Plus: My room, first floor, had two queens, a couch and desk, and was quite large. I was very impressed when I walked into the room. Carpet was well worn as the desk said most travelers want first or third floor. So, you might consider the second floor. MINUS: This has got to be the worst hotel experience I can remember. I usually like Best Western Plus, and stay in the St. Augustine one when I travel to South Florida. I've stayed in this one a few times before, and never encountered these two issues. First, I checked in and wanted to take a shower before heading out to dinner after a long drive up from Ft. Lauderdale. But, no hot water! I called the front desk and they said "we know, maybe by 8:00pm." So I go to dinner, and wait until 8:00. Still no hot water. Desk says morning. Morning comes and no hot water. Desk says they're sorry and maybe they'll give me a discount. Morning and off to breakfast. Desk comes to the dining area and says no staff to cook, so no hot breakfast as advertised. Aargh! I finally check out around 9:00am, and they just put out the hot breakfast. By then I had gone elsewhere! They gave me what I consider a small discount of around 10% for no hot water, and no hot breakfast. The most annoying part was they knew there was no hot water when I checked in and called down ten minutes later. Other customers had the same complaint. So they're checking people in knowing there's no hot water. Yikes! There's only three reasons for a hotel on I-95. 1) get a good night's sleep; 2) take a hot shower to get refreshed for the next day on the road, and 3) get breakfast so you're ready to roll. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for the lack of hot breakfast, assuming there's only one "cook," and he/she might have called in sick. But not telling guests there's no hot water when they check in is just downright wrong. There's tons of hotels in this area, so why wouldn't I try another one? Couldn't be worse. Maybe you should think about it too!

Blood stained sofa bed.

The room was dirty, blood stain on sofa bed. Staff claimed we couldn't be moved to another room. Kids were forced to sleep three in one bed. Shower was cold. Staff promised to report but never entered a report. Staff claimed manager promised to call but they didn't. Elevator was raggedy, pool water was green.

On Juky 29th my family of 5 were prepared to stay for two nights at the Best Western Plus in Pooler Georgia My family consist of husband, wife, 18 year old and 13 year old twins. Our plan was to use the 2 queen beds and pull out sofa in Room 321. Once we pulled out the pull out sofa the matress had numerous red stains that look like BLOOD. When we asked to move, they said they were booked for the night. No more rooms were available. Therefore my 2 teenager and 1 adult child had to all sleep on a Queen bed. My husband and I had the other Queen size mattress The front clerk who was supposed to put the report in never did. The owner of the hotel offered us 25% off the first night which never happened. He also said that he would contact us which never happened as of Sunday Augudt 7th.

This hotel had some bad reviews which almost kept me from booking there. However, the hotel was cleaner than what I had expected definitely an older hotel but it served it’s purpose. A place to sleep at night for minimal money. If you want luxury spend some money and stay at an expensive resort.

First of all The night desk guy failed to tell us that there was no hot water when he knew there wasn't any. When I called the desk to report it, I was told they were working on it. There was no one working on it. We should have been informed about this before we paid big bucks to stay here. The roof had a leak and a trash can was in the hall catching the water, The ice machine was apart & leaking water that was flooding the floor where we walked to get out to our car. A hazard for sure. The room wasn't as clean as they say on line how they comply with cleaning standards since Corvid. The facet in the tub was falling right out of the wall and you could see they tried to fix by putting globs of putty around it. We went for breakfast at 7:30 and the place was in a shambles, there was no eggs, nothing, and I was told that the girl left. Breakfast is until Nine! The counters were filthy and the trash can was overflowing. IF all this isn't bad enough when I confronted the lady at the desk ( I know none of this is her fault ) and asked for a refund because we were not told about the water situation, She said her manager was giving a 10% discount. She also said the night guy should have told us about the water situation. This place is terrible, do not stay here. For all of the inconveniences we should have been refunded our money, especially NO HOT water and no breakfast. Why were they renting rooms out when there was no hot water to wash sheets ??
