About average for a Holiday Inn

The check in and check out was fine. I found the cleaning in the room (particularly the bathroom) to be less than sufficient. There was dirt in the shower and just didn't look like it had been cleaned recently. The "hot food" they prepared for the breakfast looked absolutely disgusting. The "sausage" and the "eggs" looked like something right out of a freezer, but didn't even look normal (the eggs especially). I took one bite and spit it out and just threw the rest away. I would expect better food quality - "free" or not.

DO NOT RECOMMEND

I’ve stayed in many hotels and this one is by far the worse. The cleaning of our room was awful. It was dirty around the tub, someone else’s underwear was left in the room and WE HAD BUGS! The night staff was horrible and needs to look into a different type of work. Then, imagine being in your room at 8 in the morning and housekeeping is just opening the door and coming in. Checkout isn’t until 11, so I’m not understanding the foolery. And please don’t talk above a whisper, they’ll hit you with noise complaints. If the walls are that thin to where people can’t talk normal without getting noise complaints, they need to shut that mf down. I do NOT recommend this hotel AT ALL

NOT STAYING HERE EVER AGAIN!

When I arrived at the hotel no one was at the front desk and I waited about 10 minutes for someone to help me. I had reserved 2 rooms for May 1, one night. Room #1 was booked as "2 Queen Standard Comm Access Roll Shwr" for a disabled person. Room #2 was reserved as "1 King Bed Suite". After checking in mid-afternoon we arrived at our rooms to find they were not what we reserved. Going to the desk I was told by the clerk that room #1 type "2 Queen Standard Comm Access Roll Shwr" didn't exist, they had no handicapped rooms available, but they had a non-handicapped room with no roll in shower and 2 queen beds. Room #2 was reserved as "1 King Bed Suite" and they were able to find one for me. Why would H.I. allow me to book a handicapped room described as "2 Queen Standard Comm Access Roll Shwr" if that room did not exist? In my room I attempted to log onto the network but found the Wi-Fi was not working. I again went to the front desk where the clerk confirmed that the Wi-Fi was not working and had been out all day. Period. She didn't volunteer to do anything about it. Obviously no one had done anything about it. After some prodding from me she called the hotel manager who told her to consult the procedure manual for what to do. Opening her manual she found that she should call tech support. Period. After some more prodding she called tech support who said they would "work on it." This is inexcusable as action should have been taken as soon as it was found the Wi-Fi was down that morning. It was apparent the clerk did not want to be bothered. The Wi-Fi did come back some time later but the bandwidth was extremely low. The hotel itself appeared to be somewhat neglected in comparison to other H.I hotels I've frequented, as if the management was looking for the cheapest way to maintain it (cheap facial tissues, cheap toilet tissue, half-hearted cleaning of common spaces, etc.). The employees were not all that friendly. The only reason they get at least one star from me is because the breakfast was good. I definitely will not stay at this particular hotel in the future.

Staff was exceptional. Very friendly and accommodating . Would recommend to any one passing through Baton Rouge. Room was clean and Ice machine had plenty of ice. Called ahead several days in advance to request room on first floor they were professional and pleasant upon arrival and room was ready for us.

Rooms not cleaned

We stayed for a 3 day trip to LSU and very first night we noticed the air filter was full of dust, the carpets seems they were given a single pass of vacuum and one of the lights lamp need to be replaced so of course we moved to another nearby hotel following day. Front desk was high class, attentive and you can see they giving the best. Breakfast could be better but having a McDonals close to it was not a really need.
