Worst Choice Hotel experience ever
Garbage all over stairway and parking lot. Room smelled horribly of cigarettes. Refrigerator/freezer did not work, spoiling all of our food. Previous guest had stuffed tissue into smoke detector so it would not go off while they smoked.....housekeeper did not bother to clean it up. Door did not close properly..... had to put chair in front of it. Requested refund and had to wait over a week to get response...... then we were only refunded half of what we paid. I will NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. Worst experience we have ever had at a Choice Hotel.
Better than sleeping in your car
Not impressed. My room smelled like urine. I could not get on the internet, so missed several business calls. We usually stay in the Hampton Inn or HIE, but they were all booked, and this was the option. We should have stayed in the car, Breakfast was interesting. If you could get past the smell of cleaning solution, there was the staff talking loudly and discussing how they need to purchase brooms and mops from the Dollar Store for the cleaning crew. It was not a great place to stay. I think if that is the only option in the future, we would do better sleeping in the car.
No thanks
Our door could not lock properly and there were roaches we complained about both. We complained about the lock at which point we should have been moved for our safety...they acted like it was no big deal because the flip lock was enough. The AM staff were very polite, the lobby was clean and the breakfast was good..wish it wasn't over by 9 am. Someone pulled the fire alarm at 1:45 in the morning causing everyone to go out in the cold for no reason... that was frustrating
Clean, comfortable room, good choice
Very positive experience staying here for 2 nights. Great price, clean and comfortable room, large refrigerator and microwave. Some noise from the adjacent highway but the a/c created a very good "white noise" effect which as great to make outside sounds. The a/c worked well, the bed and linens were clean and comfortable with plenty of pillows! Breakfast is one of the better ones for a budget motel, the usual offerings in a very clean setting. Receptionist was courteous and professional and called to see if everything was OK in the room. Across the main road nearby there is a shopping area with WalMart and other handy stores. I'd stay here again!
Basic value
Very basic room, no elevator. Friendly front desk, helpful with directions. Apparently the rooms are very different, we had exterior door with one screw out of handle plate, said there are kitchenette rooms that are nicer. Pics on website are not true to life, looks like snacks etc to buy, but only laundry items are on the bare shelf. Spider on floor. $150 for 2 weekend nights, so good value. Not exactly a relaxing, romantic weekend, but the $ saved can be spent on other things. Would stay again.
