Great golfing holiday

A great week at Morgado. Rooms are large and spotlessly clean. Food is excellent and enough choice to suit all tastes. Both golf courses are well kept with good fast greens. Nice that the courses are so different to each other. Staff are helpful and very polite. Highly recommend it to any golfers.

We keep returning to Morgado every year and I cannot think of a better place to have a golfing holiday with friends. Every hole on each of the 3 courses available is different and very well maintained. The buffet breakfasts and evening meals are well presented and very tasty, catering for everyone’s preferences. The rooms are spacious and well provided, clean and welcoming. The staff are brilliant, friendly and helpful. My only criticism is that I have been unable to book next year’s holiday yet, as it is too early!

Two lovely courses with great staff.

We were a mixed party of 12 golfers from Hampshire. Our rooms were around 8207, in the first floor with fabulous views over the pool, driving range/practice area and the fairways. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower was fantastic. The rooms were cleaned every day with new towels too. The restaurant is small but there were plenty of choices, fish every day plus a variety of meat, veg and poultry dishes. The salads and fruit was cut freshly. The restaurant and bar staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, bringing drinks over to our tables. The Caddy Master was in charge of the golf facilities and they were very efficient, bringing balls out to the practice stations. There were electric trolleys to hire too. A brilliant resort for our first GC trip abroad. Morgado course was tricky, and the Álamos course was challenging. The greens were very fast. Well done Morgado!

Fantastic Break, amazing place for Golf.

Amazing place, from the moment we arrived the staff and accommodation were perfect. Rooms are huge and plenty of space for luggage, golf Clubs etc Food is excellent, buffet style with plenty of choice and a different menu each day. Very peaceful and spectacular views, driving range, bunker and short game area plus practice green are all excellent. This place is very much tailored for Golfers and the courses are perfect, Morgado course is fairly flat & Alamos Hilly, both in very good condition and challenging. I would suggest the rooms could do with USB chargers to be installed in the sockets, and a clothes hook/Towel rail in the shower.. but these are minor things and take nothing away from the Hotel/Course/Dinning and brilliant members of staff (the Hotel, Dinning and grounds keeper staff all included in that statement!.) Absolutely loved the place and will 100% return.

Worst online and reception service ever

The booking was a terrible experience. From making us pay 7 bedrooms in advance by bank transfer, to getting them to invoice us individual as was agreed upon telephonically. They suggested online checkin but the redid our checkin at reception wasting even more time. Why the online checkin? It does not work, even after selecting a double bed room and we got a twin bed room. They are so disorganized!
