A welcome that matches the warmth of the Antiguan sun

Just to be clear, 5* service and warmth from Feona, Colin all the staff, including the lovely housekeeping and big shout out to David..
This is as good as it gets with sole traveller, couples or
families alike, the hotel welcomes all guests and act as concierge, friends and family as much as you like them to. They make time to get to know you. They'll also leave you to enjoy everything your way too.
I counted 10 steps from our chalet door to the beach! Another 12 to the constant calm shoreline!
Does it get any better than this?
We received breakfast brought to the room punctual every morning....every day was a different offering.
We used the pool and surrounding facilities. The beach is golden man made, but you wouldn't notice. Plenty of sun bed or four posters for everyone. Some in shade of palm trees, some exposed to the sun lashed shores of a sea that is warm and some fish visiting. This is idyllic.
We also used the free offer of a speedboat taxi to the Pigeon Beach adjacent, making arrangements to be brought back.
Rooms are spacious with great working air con, plenty of storage space, sea views, options for hammock outside, kitchenette with 4 electric rings and oven, a massive showering space, WC, big sink, plenty of mirrors, hairdryer, many power points and every opening has wire insect nets to stop unwanted entry of unpaying guests. Two queen size beds, very comfortable. The rooms were cleaned meticulously every day. Towels replaced.
Unfortunately, the restaurant and bar were closed during our stay. No problems as there's a supermarket that is friendly within 2 minutes walk away. Next to it is a diner/take away.
This is a great base to explore the southern part of island especially English Harbour, Shirley Heights and Nelson's Dockyard.
Thank you for your lovely polite, friendly stay. Please shout out to JB and making us feel as welcome as ever in what is uncertain times....what is certain is you'll have to go a long way to rival the great stay we had and thank you very much for helping us enjoy our holiday...
Oh, ps. ... We all know guys who made the best rum punch!?

This is an excellent resort to stay at if you want to sample the numerous delights on offer on the island. The resort is situated in a quiet location, yet all points of interest such as Nelson's Dockyard and English Harbour are easily accessible particularly if you decide to take a car rental. Staff are all extremely amenable and helpful providing expert local knowledge of specific places of interest and the most pristine beaches to visit in order to swim or snorkel. Rooms are meticulously cleaned on a daily basis with fresh towels and linen provided. In front of the rooms lies a small private beach and marina, which is a rather secluded spot and quiet at night time. In my opinion, this is a perfect location at an affordable price for wider exploration of what is a fascinating island.
The most incredible place in the world!

My husband and I and our five children checked into the Catamaran hotel for 15 nights, not ever having been to the Caribbean or Antigua before not knowing what to expect! Our expectations have been blown away and more!! The location and dream like geographical spot of this hotel is only surpassed by the genuine hospitality and utter out of the norm service provided by the owner Feona and her dedicated team of staff! The perfect blend of feeling like we have truly come home to the long lost family we never knew we had ! and professional level of “above and beyond” customer service which I dare anyone to find any where else! NOTHING is too much trouble (and with 5 children that is a feat in and of itself!) the level of hospitality is exceptional! Truly giving us things we didn’t even know we needed! The home-like feel from the moment we arrived as very inexperienced islanders! We felt totally relaxed from the moment Feona greeted us and showed us to our gorgeous authentic Antiguan rooms! Everything we need is at the hotel and so much more! Breakfast served by their chef to us on the private beach! Authentic rum punch just appeared served by the lovely David! (Out of this world and Dangerously good!!) so many facilities and extras that just weren’t shown on the website! The rooms are beautifully cool, exceptionally clean , a true taste of Caribbean decor. Beds are huge and so comfortable and the addition of a kitchenette is wonderful for families. The beach is white and tropical and constantly being raked and kept spotless by the grounds team! Hand delivered Mangoes fresh from one of the teams gardens for no cost! Just the joy of us tasting them! is just a small example of the level of thoughtfulness and family service big resorts just can’t deliver! We will aim to return to this hotel as many times as physically possible and recommended to as many friends as family as can come! This hotel is phenomenal and we would heartily recommend.
A gem of a place near English Harbour

We stayed for 4 weeks in January and wished we didn't have to leave. A, small traditional, family run hotel with its own private beach just a stone's throw from English Harbour. Breakfast was delivered to our room each morning due to covid restrictions. Nelson's dockyard is just a short bus ride away, or do what we did and walk! We upgraded to a first glorious room and loved sitting on our balcony watching the yachts and sun setting over the sea.
Cheap eats Sweet Ts
Must visit English Harbour
