Very nice hotel in front of the beach

Reviewed 24 february, 2017

The hotel is located 4 miles north from downtown Porto Seguro, in front of the beac (you need to cross the street to get to the beach. The swimming pool is excellent and the exterior facilities are very nice (park, tennis court, football pitch). There is a bar service in the pool. There are different type of rooms, some of them are bigger, more comfortable and renewed. Breakfast is good (not orange juice, too much regional juices) and it is possible to have dinner in the restaurant (service by kg. of food you have). The area is regular, specially in the night. There are a supermarket, a pharmacy and a pizza bar 100 yards from there. It is easy to get a taxi to go to town (50 R$) or any other place, or you can take a bus (3 R$). Very recommended to visit Arraia de Ajuda, nice beaches and a beautiful small downtown with restaurantes and bar (to go in the night). To go there you need to take bus or taxi to the Port, a ferry to Arraia (4.75 R$ returnt ticket) and then a van service to any beach (4 to 6 R$). Service in the hotel is very good and rooms are very clean. The bathroom has an open window, they should put a net to avoid insects in there !

Beautiful place, bad service

Reviewed 16 october, 2013

The hotel is located at Taperapuan beach, almost in front of Axe Moi, and approximately 2km far from Toa Toa. There are a lot of restaurants near hotel, but the lowlight is that most of them close at 6pm. The local inhabitants are always asking you for tips, for everything, parking, tourist advice (unsolicited), henna tattoos, food, etc. Hotel´s restaurant is clean and organized, but the menus are almost always the same, both in breakfast and dinner. It has pretty good food, although. Guests do a lot of noise after 10pm. (silence time), and the hotel doesn´t take care of this. The doors are not sound proof and the floor is made of beveled stone. It generates a lot of noise of luggage wheels and steps. There are a lot of children, so you have no ambient of silence and peace. The beverages are not well chilled, in restaurant and pool bar aswell. The swimming pool could be cleaner, although it has a lot of pool chlorine in water. Employees are always in bad mood, not really consistent with a 4 star rated resort. So if employees are not happy, the guests are not happy. The rooms are simple, but clean, with high quality split air-conditioner, but the service of chambermaids is not so good. Finally, good place, bad people. I´ll not return to Porto Seguro, for sure.

Horrible!!!

Reviewed 17 march, 2013

Stayed in this "resort" for ten days. Was the worst experience. To start there was NO ONE who could speak a word of English yet there were many English speaking guests. This language barrier made it difficult all around. I think they should have at least someone who can communicate with the guests. The worst part of this hotel is the cleanliness. It is DISGUSTING. Almost everyday they provided us with a towel with stains on it!!! The bed sheets were not changed everyday and the sheets were also stained, dirty, and ripped. There is nothing modern about this hotel. Rooms are so old fashioned with old fashioned TVs and old fashioned everything!! Do NOT stay here.

Excellent experience

All services offered in the resort were excellent. Breakfast is always very varied. Too bad they were not frequent the typical food, but just outside there are kiosks and restaurants where you can eat well and spend little. I recommend searching for the "King Crab kiosk". Excellent local cuisine. If is possible, I recommend rent a car to know the city, exists on external area from main entrace of the resort some people offers this service with lower prices.
