Do not book a double room here

Reviewed 22 september, 2021

We had the option at the time of booking either a family room or a double room. As we are a couple I booked a double. Upon arrival we were given a room on the ground floor above the metro which was very noisy. The metro runs from 6am until midnight. We requested to change the room but were told we booked an economy room so it was not possible without upgrading to a family room which obviously costs more. I would really not recommend to stay at this hotel as it seems to be completely random which room you get. The ground floor room we had should not be sold as a room as it is too noisy. On the plus side for eur10 per night you get an underground parking space and the metro into town is very efficient.

Overall good quality

Reviewed 17 july, 2021

We, two adults and two youngsters, stayed in this hotel for over a week. We had a room that was on the eight floor and on the opposite side from the metro and we did not hear the metro at all in our room, which was very comfortable. The hotel room was large enough for four persons. The room did not have a separate corridor for storing shoes and there was no cabinet for hanging clothes; the clothes were pretty much hanging in between the two beds in the middle of the room. However, we got used to this and we not bothered. There was really a lot of space in the toilet/bathroom and the shower functioned well. There were two huge tv screens in the room. The cleaning had been done well, and we are picky about that. There was a view to the street. Air conditioning functioned well. The service was very good and the receptionists were helpful. The location was not optimal as there were not that many restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. Perhaps also due to covid some restaurants had been closed. However, it was possible to drive further to eat or take a metro to the center where there were many good restaurant options. As the hotel was not exactly in the center, we found the hotel area peaceful in the evening, which was nice. There was a covered parking garage reserved for hotel guests next to the hotel – very convenient. The breakfast in the hotel was quite nice. If going to Porto ever again, we would definitely consider this hotel again.

First guests after opening

We were the first guests after opening (the rating is a bit late). Very friendly employees and boss. Nice and modern rooms, very good breakfast. And: we got a big bunch of flowers. Thank you very much! We will come back :-)

Pleasant, helpful and professional staff. Good location.Clean room. Not very quiet

Pleasant, helpful, and professional staff. Good location. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the beach and the old city by bus and even less with the metro. It is also very close to the airport. On our way back we took a taxi to the airport and we got there in less than 15 minutes. There are 5-6 different bus options and connections between the hotel and other parts of the city. And the metro is working until after midnight. Our room was very clean and the bedsheets and towels were changed every day. Because of the proximity to the metro station, some of the rooms on the lower floors are not very quiet, but the station is not that big and there are not so many trains passing. If the window is closed and the tv off, the noise is manageable and not irritating.

Cozy and comfortable hotel. Very good location, next to metro for downtown and to the airport as well. Nice rooms but unfortunately without closets and slippers! Breakfast was good enough! And service hours was also helpful for us!
