Stayed here for 4 nights in room 907. Hotel is about 20 minutes from airport and about a 20 minutes walk up to the hop on hop off bus stop. The stay exceeded our expectations and all the staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was superb with a huge choice of meats, cheeses and breads, cereals, hot items, and in a clean and tidy restaurant. Tables plentiful and spaced out, cleaned properly. It is buffet but you wear mask and gloves (provided) to help yourself at the buffet. Covid restrictions policy made me feel safe here, sanitizers everywhere. Room was clean, wooden floor, big windows which you can open. There is a gym but didn’t use it. The bar is open all afternoon and until midnight. They do bar snacks such as steak sandwiches, burgers, salads, club sandwiches, pizza etc and very reasonably priced too. I would definitely book this hotel again.
Hard to sleep

This hotel had the hardest most uncomfortable beds not to mention high pillows that strain my neck. Wouldn’t recommend if you want a good night’s rest. It isn’t in a location we’re it’s easy to grab something to eat, has limited options to eat.
Nice roof top pool

We were placed on the 9th floor, view from room was fantastic. Wake up and look right across Porto down to the Douro River (Including early morning mist) The breakfast was fantastic, everything you could possibly want, from hot bacon and eggs to cold buffet, brilliant. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We were quite lucky because the Hotel wasn't particularly busy, probably to do with the virus. The Hotel is a little bit out of the way, so liking a walk is essential. On a positive note, the Hotel was spotlessly clean in all the public areas and the rooms. It took about 3/4 of an hour to get right down to the hustle and bustle of the old town. . Once there it was well worth the walk. All the favourite Port Houses are there, Sandeman, Taylors etc. The bridge crossing the river is stunning, with bars and restaurants clustered beneath it. We had three fantastic days in Porto and then travelled by train down to Lisbon.
Bad first impression but ended okay.

My family and I just came in from Salamanca, Spain and we were so excited to be in Porto. My uncle said this would be such a good hotel, I looked it up and was impressed by the images. We got to the reception and obviously you’d expect a warm welcome but we received such a cold welcome from the reception. The lady checked us in and didn’t feel the need to mention 20 minutes earlier before we checked in, to let us know we have 4 rooms for 10 people (instead of 2 rooms for 5). She simply asked are you expecting guests? We said no and she insisted that we booked that and we’d be charged - the only way would be to call the online site we booked through. She was completely And rudely unhelpful - so hostile to understand we’re not locals, we don’t have means to contact people due to our phone networks. All she said was “I don’t know” “there’s nothing I can do”. She handled this situation terribly and ruined our first impression of the hotel and Porto! Obviously it was a double booking that made erroneously. Finally we got the manager, who was kind and helpful and we found a way out. The next 2 days were okay - the staff appeared to be nice, especially the F&B team - breakfast was great and a huge thank you to Edwardo, his special tomatoes were amazing!! He made our last experience at this hotel great; compared to our first impression by the very hostile front office. The rooms are a little small, And the beds kind of uncomfortable but great views and good room amenities- after a day full of sightseeing you’d fall asleep anywhere.
