Wonderful view and service
The hotel is high up overlooking Sorrento and the views from the rooftop pool and bar are incredible - though if it's windy there are no umbrellas for shade. From the moment we arrived the staff were efficient and friendly, the food incredible though perhaps a little overpriced, rooms elegant, balconies cute, decor modern and stylish. They even offered to send their shuttle bus to collect us "out of hours". We also booked a massage in their small spa area and they surprised us with prosecco and cake for my wife's birthday! Wonderful hotel and staff.
Beautiful hotel with incredible views
The views in this hotel are amazing (one of the reasons you to go Positano ofcourse), but the service is absolutely impeccable. Defintely on par with the service you would expect, but even more personal. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. A special shout-out to Guiseppe of the Gold Champagne bar, who has a nose for a good champagne and can create amazing parings for you. Additionally, the cooking class that is offered is definitely recommendable; you will learn how to create a couple of classic local dishes by the executive chef of the Li Galli Restaurant!
Amazing
I travel every 3 weeks. Villa Franca in Positano is The best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I have absolutely no complaints. Everything was perfect. All staff were amazing! Special mentions to Simona, Giuseppe and all members of the lobby reception and rooftop bar/restaurant. I won’t stay in any other hotel in the amalfi coast whenever I go. The view is unbelievable, and the food and decor is equally as good! Definitely stay here. Philippe
Good location but value for money is not given
The staff is friendly and the hotel has a great view of Positano. However you pay a fortune for a tiny room where you can‘t properly unpack your luggage and end up living in a mess of your stuff. 25.- Euro for a Bellini and they don’t even have the Champagne on stock they claim the drink is made with.
Lovely, high class boutique hotel with attention to detail
Hotel Villa Franca is a high-end option for your stay in Positano. We loved the modern decor and the art, which is quite unique in the local hotel scene. Staff is really nice and helpful (special thanks to Nadia and Gian Luca). Attention to detail in every respect. Food great from breakfast to lunch and dinner. Truly unbelievable that Li Galli does not have a Michelin star. The rooftop pool has very comfortable loungers and a nice breeze. The only point of criticism we have is that the pool staff accepts that people ‘reserve’ their beds so that they are not available for other guests, although the reservers do not show up for hours..... It should be made very clear that this is not acceptable. It does not suit the hotel’s overall class. See you again next year for our 3rd visit!
