LOVED IT
Just got back from our stay in Positano. Art hotel is very cute and great location. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The breakfast selection was great and the chocolate croissants were delicious! We had a great room on the second floor with a beautiful balcony view of the sea. Unfortunately, the pretty purple flowers that surround the hotel were dying but we had a great time. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Positano
Overpriced and in need of renovation
The hotel itself is fine with good breakfast and friendly staff, particularly around transport and how to get around Positano. However, I found the price at almost €250 per night extremely overpriced for what you get. The room was tired, in need of redecoration and bathroom quite dark. The main issue for me was our air con that made disturbing noises in the night so I never managed to get a good sleep! Apart from that, the shower pressure is fine, balcony to the sea view is low in first floor so ask for a higher room (otherwise it’s mainly just a view of road and cars). I’d rate the hotel 3 stars, not 4 and definitely not be willing to pay so much.
All I had hoped for
eautiful property with gorgeous views...watching the sunset each day, or just the rain, from the open doors of our room while enjoying the afternoon bar snacks and drinks was a highlight of the trip. Breakfast was delicious with good variety. The orange/carrot/lemon juice was a great find, accompanying the hot foods and wonderful pastries, some of them homemade. Afternoon snacks and drinks in the bar area were a welcome treat. Room was clean and beautiful with comfortable king bed, sitting area and hot tub. Service was friendly and helpful. Special mention to the very sweet young lady at check in, Leelo (?) in the bar, and the beautiful Francesco who seemed to be everywhere and do everything. Cannot wait to return.
They are open whole year...good option for experiencing Positano in Winter
They are the only open Hotel in February...They are centrally located...easy to walk down to beach from hotel or from left to up..where bus stops leave for the commute nearby places..We used SITA busses and went to Amalfi..40 minutes drive for 2 Euro..you cam find Sita.busses at every 30 minutes...much better than driving in these narrow roads.. Art hotel rooms are clean..Although they do not have central heating..if you open airconditoner at night, you can hear rooms very well. Breakfast menu is rich..Our flight was early..I found early bird breakfast poor..
Secrets of generations
Hotel full of punctures that refer to some artists, not enchanted by the decor, but is careful in the details, clean and has good breakfast! The city is a big surprise! Besides the thousands of steps, which are quiet talking, there is a museum that tells about the culture and all the evolution of generations! It is very worthwhile to go back in Roman times and medieval epics, in the careful excavation that was just opened! we love it !!!
