Wonderful Weekend at The Huff
My friend and I spent 2 nights here on Oct 23rd and 24th. The weather was in our favor. From the moment we arrived and walked in our room...we were happy! Beautiful cozy room...with very comfy beds. The outdoor private patio was amazing. The complimentary breakfast was more than I had imagined...so good. We enjoyed the free wine tasting as well in the gorgeous area followed by the best pizza ever on the outdoor patio. I enjoyed everything and felt completely Covid safe. Can't wait to go back...this weekend!!! I highly recommend if you need a getaway...this is the place. Whether it be romantic or with friends.
Anniversary trip
Enjoyed a fabulous trip to PEC and stayed 3 nights at Huff Estates. Room was lovely and spacious. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. Also enjoyed our wine tasting and pizza.
Wine tasting and one at the Inn
The Inn is great. Large very clean rooms. We felt very save staying here in these COVID times. I wish we had made our visit longer. The grounds around the Inn are beautiful! And the breakfast in the morning included in the price was more than expected! We will definitely return! A fantastic place to stay while touring Prince Edward County!
Lovely Stay Overall
We enjoyed a two night stay at Huff from September 21st to 23rd. The room was quite nice, clean ( we had booked the mid-range Premium) but a little dated. We found the bed to be very comfortable and for the first time, my husband found the hotel pillows to be very comfortable. He's fussy about that. I like the heating/cooling unit in our room so that we could control the temperature of our room. So many hotels have a thermostat that is not always working efficiently. The little fridge provided was not very cold so we had to use our traveling cooler to cool down our local beer purchases ( yes, we went to more craft breweries than wineries ). They could really benefit from an ice machine - we had to get ice from the staff refrigerator and there wasn't a lot in there. Breakfast was delicious and filling. On our first morning, the breakfast staff were very welcoming and asked us politely what we'd like, explaining the process since it's not buffet. One staff member cleaned very carefully as guests touched self serving items such as coffee, cream so I thought they managed that quite safely during these Covid times. On the second morning, the 23rd, the young woman cooking the eggs was not very friendly or welcoming. She did not ask what we'd like, she just stood there until we asked her if she could serve us. She didn't offer the covered items such as bacon, sausages, waffles like the previous day so again we had to ask. I would suggest to eat early if you'd like the fresh fruit. I ate my breakfast at 8:30 one morning and there was a beautiful big bowl of strawberries. By the time my husband went for his breakfast( he likes to sleep later on holiday) at 9:15 there was none. The pizza place was wonderful! Excellent staff, fast service and knowledgeable about their wines so they could offer suggestions for our tastes. We ate both of our dinners there. They close at 6pm so you'll have to eat early. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful Inn
Hotel room was big, clean and cozy. The complimentary breakfast was ok but very basic considering we spent over $300 for just 1 night. Other than that everything else was nice. Our room overlooked the vineyards and we had a nice complimentary tasting. Also the outdoor museum was interesting to look at.
