Posada Real La Carteria

This historical hotel is located in the medieval town of Puebla de Sanabria, on a street that extends to the Plaza Mayor, where the 12th century parish church and the Elizabethan-style town hall building can be found. At the end of the street is a rectangular castle ordered to be built in the 15th century by the Counts of Benavente to serve as a border defence. Sanabria bus and train stations are both approximately 3 km from the hotel and the coast in Vigo is around 240 km away. Built in 1736, the building was restored using original materials.
