I didn't realize this is the same place I stayed five years ago, and it's still pretty much the same and worth a stay. Very clean; room was big as was shower. Tiny TV, but we were outside (nice pool bar). Pool was clean and immediately cleaned again after every rain storm. Staff are nice, although a few do not speak English so when my beginner Spanish didn't work I had to hunt down English speakers. Trails to animals are fun, although the wooden ones were rickety in places. Lunch is same menu as dinner, and our lomo and shrimp risotto were excellent. However, they want you to make a reservation for dinner although the place was empty at 7pm (most people eat later). And most annoying... there was an hour left for lunch service but they refused to let us sit in the pretty dining room as it had been cleaned (for dinner which was 3 hours away). The optional tables were not appealing so we sat at the bar, where the staff took money for drinks on both sides of us and right in between us. Not a relaxing atmosphere, but it was fine after a bottle of wine. One recommendation for the hotel... get a filtered water dispenser so we can refill water bottles. Otherwise you are buying a ton from them (stop at a store on the way here to get a big bottle), which makes them a profit and the water is nice and cold, but it generates a ton of waste.

Great location at the biocentro Iguazu

The hotel is located right at the biocentro Iguazu with a great variety of animals! The entry is free and definitely worth a visit! The hotel has a small restaurant with great regional cuisine at night and a decent and delicious breakfast! Great helpful staff!

We really enjoyed our stay at El Pueblito, where we had two nights. The staff were incredible and helped us sorting out our missed luggage in the airport. The room very clean and nice, the same was the swimming pool. All the staff were really great, they even made a birthday cake for me! We can definitely recommend this hotel!

Well worth the money

Hotel is questionable when you first pull up because entrance is off a dirt/gravel parking lot. However, once inside you will be pleasantly surprised! The hotel is rather spread out among dense greenery. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable but shower was extremely small. Don't drop the soap :)! Breakfast was varied and pretty typical these days. Lunch and dinner were excellent and much better than across the road at the other hotel. Staff was exceedingly helpful and very, very pleasant! I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it for the price. Go Victor, you were a delight!

Nice but...

The hotel has specious and clean rooms, quite good breakfast and really good restaurant for quality dinner. The staff is helpful. They have a biocentrum in which you will be able to see beautiful animals from hummingbirds to various butterflies, crocodiles, turtles, snakes, etc. They however have the strangest practice of collecting passport information I've ever seen. They take photos of passports with a mobile phone, which in my opinion is prone to leakage of personal data. Their justification is "this is the way we do it". It's a fine hotel but needs to change its ways. Hence, unfortunately average.
