My parents and brother were visiting Peru for ten days. When we checked in, the desk manager noticed on my brother’s passport that it was his birthday. He discretely pulled me aside and asked if he could do anything special and offered to provide some cake and a small gift. Later that evening, when I gave him the nod, he came by my brother’s room with four staff members, a birthday cake, candles, and an alpaca toque (hat) for my brother. To cap it off, the 5 of them sang happy birthday. I’ve traveled extensively and can say that this type of service is rare- particularly since it was initiated by the hotel staff. The staff were all extremely warm and friendly, and keen to please. The service experience aside, the hotel is tucked away in a private and quiet area looking over lake Titicaca. The outside, waterfront patio and surrounding gardens are beautiful. My room was well appointed with a balcony overlooking the grounds and the lake. I would recommend staying here.
Nice property but far from things to do

Our reservations were made by the tour company we used. The hotel is very nice but not convenient if you hope to do things on your own. It's about 15 minutes to the historic center (by taxi) and nothing nearby. We ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner which offers good food but the cost for dinner and a bottle of wine was 2X what we would have paid in town for equally good food with less of a tourist menu. Still, it is nice and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Casa Andina was one of our most excellent hotel stays ever.

The location of Casa Andina at Puno is quite picturesque. The restaurant and room service were outstanding. The hotel staff were most accommodating and hospitable. They even helped setup a COVID test appointment at a clinic in the city prior to our international travel. They also helped book an inexpensive tour with a local agency to visit the Uros islands on the lake. I would give my highest recommendation for Casa Andina for travelers to Puno.
An exhilarating hotel with stunning views of the lake.

Charming unpretentious hotel on the edge of probably the worlds most interesting, famous, & highest lake. The staff were most accommodating and all ancillary facilities more than adequate. Ideal for lake hopping!!

Lovely property in Puno in a protected area nearby the Titicaca lake. Excellent service and great breakfast. You can roam around freely but beware the mosquitoes coming from the lake in the late afternoon.
