Amazing little family resort.

Went with a group of 13 and we all had a great time. The staff was amazing! Especially the bar staff and animation team. We stayed in a beautiful Junior Suite which had a separate bedroom, living room and 2 balconies! There was lots of food at the buffet – you won’t go hungry! There is a beach bar opened until 5pm, a snack bar opened until 11 and after that you can get sandwiches at the bar until 6am. And the pool parties are insane! I truly believe people leaving bad reviews are just really picky. Its definitely not 5 star but you’re also not paying 5 star prices! This place has everything you need without the frills.

Not worth the money-RUN

i have reserved there for a week with my kids. i have not stayed 24 hours. Food is worse than Cuba, service is awful, and rooms are disgusting and lots of things not working. Asked to get upgraded to the Riu Punta Cana palace. i have went to worst to best in the matter of 24 hours. Do NOT go there !

A fantastic base for an incredible holiday

A beautiful resort, with a great variety buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner and an à la carte restaurant with Italian food and steaks. Great bars, also by the swimming pool and by the beach. Four times per week there's a RIU party. The rooms are cleaned every day, often with a surprise (Swan, flowers, balloons). Adventurous Splash water park and a beautiful beach with day beds. Too bad there was a lot of sea weed this period (June/July) but the beach was also cleaned everyday.

Awful.

I do not recommend staying at this hotel if you are English or at all if I’m completely honest. The staff speak very limited if none English which makes life very hard to begin with, the music is mainly Spanish played around the pool and also the food is not catered for us at all, to make it worse if you have any food allergies then you need to be very careful as their are no signs for the food it’s what you see and a guessing game and the chefs again speak no English for you to ask. Food is very poor and is pretty much the same every day. They have a la a cart Italian which is nice however gets boring as it’s the only one. The rooms are very undated, the tv again is in Spanish, full of mosquitos everywhere, despite the aircon you will get bit. Be careful in the shops walking down from the back of the beach, especially if you are unsure of the conversion rates and do not pay by card as we got our banks frauded. What makes it worse is the shops are run by the rui resorts within the complex. It is also very difficult to leave the complex. If it is raining, again the entertainment is in Spanish and there is nothing to do other than drink. The positives is, the pool area is lovely and the bar staff/entertainment are amazing. Especially in the Buddha bar. They try their best to keep everyone entertained. A must do excursion is coco bongo which was insane. We also enjoyed the dolphins as the beach that you go onto is again insane and is a lot more catered for the English. I would definitely not ever return to this hotel.
