Amazing beaches, good food & great people. The hotel was clean & maid service was on time daily. Wide variety of food and plenty of fun activities that are offered. The staff was very friendly especially one of the workers named Scooby Doo Papa. He helped us out & is a great dancer. He Always uplifted our mood and had an amazing vibe!

All of the staff here are so kind! Let me name a couple who really just made our experience memorable: Scooby, Leiry, & Coca Cola (really brought good energy each and every day and made our stay so fun), Shakey shake (best bartender!!!), Angel & Josue who were so kind every day and walked us to the beach with our towels every day, and Alejandro at the restaurant, and literally every single other person!! The resort was impeccably clean and had everything we could have wanted. There was also fun activities planned throughout the day that were facilitated by Simon (SHOOP!) and he was just too funny. I also was extremely satisfied with the food. It was so so delicious and I was not disappointed with a single meal. The restaurant staff are also very friendly and helpful. Overall, I highly recommend this resort for the amazing staff, beautiful beach, and AMAZING food and drinks!

Visited this resort Nov 17th to 24th. I booked a swim out room on the adult side for me and my special need adult child but they did not have the swim out room for me when we arrive until 3 days later. I talked to lots of guests and know at least 3 couples had the same problem, same week with me, so that tells me they over booked us and does not care. They did gave me $200 credit but not to much you can do with it other than a massage. Yet they charged us much more for the swim out room and I lost 3 days. The resort was very busy when I was there. Maybe because of the busyness that there are days, when I find plates in buffet is not properly washed. Food crumbs were visibly. I had to put aside few plates and few times in order to get an ok plate 😫 Rooms are little dated but it's alright. Grounds kept nice. Food is good. Staffs are very nice. Thanks to my butler, Victor, Fernando and Jojany at the beach bar, Leandro at the swim out bar, Josue, the towel boy and Fedeline in the lounge. These guys made my vacation a little better, all are very nice and attentive. I am not a fan of trashing a place myself so I try to be very open mined and fair. I know it's Covid times and the resort itself just reopened on Nov 12th, they have been booking people then shift them over to Elegance next door, which is fine but please remember that we work hard all year for our vacation, so Colonial, get it together and don't do it to other family like in my case, my son can not walk far, that is why I booked the swim out and lost 3 days out of a week. I find that this is disrespectful and not fair. In closing, it is an ok resort. I would not give it 4.5 or 5 like they say but staffs are very nice so it kinda made up for it 😊

Reinaldo Mercedes, our butler was very personable and knowledegable. The resort is very beautiful. Rooms are nice. However, there is no handle on the outside of any of the sliding doors on any rooms (we asked) so if you don't leave your door open a bit (which turns off the AC), you cannot get back in very easily. Not enough signs to direct and identify different places. We tried to find the Coffee Shop located in the Elegance section/resort and were directed to various locations, all leading us to the snack area. Finally, I asked for capacchino and someone took us there. Signs would have kept us from walking in circles. IT was a great place. Not enough English speaking staff. When you asked a question, you were given bad or no information. The HIspaniola restuarant served us frozen brownies for dessert, went twice, both times the food was lukewarm and the Mahi Mahi tasted old. Not enough staff around the pools. We report a falling down curtain in our room and also a slow draining shower 3 times. Never fixed. One elevator was broken. The other one was out of service for 2 days. We've been to many resorts spending a comparable price and found the Majestic Colonial lacking in many areas. We're retired and travel to all-inclusive resorts 4 - 5 times a year. We will not be back here.

What a great time we had. The staff was so friendly and helpful, especially our butler Francisco. It’s almost like he had a tracker on us. He always found us to see if there was anything he could do. He even asked the friends we were with if they needed anything. We will absolutely be back
