Great family trip

Reviewed 4 july, 2022

We travel often for family trips (3 kids), and we always ask them which trip was the best. After just the 2nd day they said this trip was the best. Our concierge Jaque was great and provided us with excellent service. He constantly checked on us to make sure all was well with our trip. We accepted the tour of the resort, which we typically don’t do. However, Wilson did a fantastic job on the tour, and he kept it brief but informative. Yunior also sat with us and gave us a much better understanding about the Sirenis resorts. Special thank you to Alexander in the member restaurant, he was phenomenal. He was the reason my youngest enjoyed the trip so much. Polanko also went out of his way wach day to find us and get everything setup as far as some reservations and a special cale and room decorations for our sons birthday. The food was good in both the restaurants and the the buffets. We were always able to find food no matter what time of day (but be sure to get to the buffets earlier rather than later).

Fantastic time at a great hotel

Reviewed 3 july, 2022

Had a fantastic holiday here from 6-20th June. Family of 10, 7 adults 3 children. I’m not too sure what others have experienced at this hotel or other places they have travelled to but I will be honest & say that the reviews I’ve read weren’t a true reflection of what I experienced. Arrived with a few hours delay but we were welcomed with a fruit cocktail & had a brief wait with others in front of us in queue. Once we got to front everything we needed was explained to us & towels given for pool. Rooms were as expected. 2 double beds & plenty of wardrobe space. Fridge was stocked with beers, Fanta, coke, sprite & water. Some days there wasn’t any coke or beer but after speaking to cleaner or reception it was sorted very quickly. Buffet restaurants were excellent. Plenty of choice & seemed to be replenished often. I read reviews of food being cold which is something I didn’t find to be honest. However what I did see is people carrying 3 plates of food at a time back to their table so possibly by time they got to 3rd plate it was cold? Also I seen people putting fruit, salad, & main meal on same plate, this wouldn’t help in terms of heat/flavour but that’s each individual I suppose. We were served drinks at a speed I expected in a restaurant with 2-300 people in at a time. Yes sometimes we would have liked them quicker but it was never a case of not getting a drink. We got served at every bar with the same respect I expect at home. Never encountered any difficulties with any bar staff at all. Pool bar does get busy but it’s a bar in a pool so it’s clearly a great attraction. If it wasn’t any good there wouldn’t be anyone there clearly. Entertainment was top drawer from 10am to midnight. Every single part of the day was covered from poolside games to night time shows. I’ll be honest & say the night time entertainment isn’t my cup of tea as I’d rather have a beer & chill out but the rest of our party loved the shows. I particularly liked the front theatre with background music & comfy seats but again that’s personal preference. Sports bar went above & beyond to get the Wales football games on when we asked & then worked hard to get Scotland on as well for the Scottish fans. This wasn’t an easy task but it was done with a smile & after a muchos gracias from us it seemed they were grateful we were happy which was a common theme. Muchos gracias Muey bien Como estas Few phrases that went a long way Water park very good for those that are brave enough. I was happy on blue/yellow slide but the more adventurous loved the red kamikaze & others. Poolside bar was quick & snack bar seemed to have plenty for a “snack”. The beach has plenty of sunbeds & space. Yes there is seaweed & there is waves. Guess what people it’s the sea so what else do you expect. If you get up at 6 in morning there will be loads of seaweed on the beach but by 10am it will be cleared. If you see photos of piles of it they will have been taken before 8 when the tractors haven’t been out. We found the pools very good, yes the odd time they looked murky but that’s not hotel’s fault at 1700. People jumping in & out all day covered in suncream & sand probably caused it. The hotel staff would be there at 1800-1900 to start cleaning & again the next morning making sure it was clear again. All in all probably the best holiday I’ve had & I’ve been all over the world. There’s so many good things I’ve probably missed out like Japanese restaurant & the smoothie bar but thats what I enjoyed. Go to this hotel & enjoy it

Perfect holiday

Reviewed 3 july, 2022

My husband and I stayed here the last two weeks in June travelling with TUI and we can honestly say this was the perfect holiday, from the moment we arrived we were greeted with smiles and kindness, the hotel staff were always smiling and polite and nothing was too much trouble , we changed our room after one night to a better sea and pool view without any problems at all, the hotel is perfectly situated on the beach which was immaculate, they had a seaweed influx for about a week but they worked hard all day every day to clear it up, the food was amazing and the restaurants were exceptional you don’t want for anything at any time, the pools were clean and large and deep in parts but clearly marked out around the pool, there are more than enough sun loungers round the pool and on the beach so we never had to get up early to put towels out , the gardens were immaculate and the staff all work hard all day to keep it that way, the entertainment group work very hard every evening with their shows and dancing, the water park again is clean and great fun even for two middle aged parents like us, the sports bar and coffee shop are another great addition and the outside amphitheater was a lovely addition, we would go back in a heartbeat and would recommend this hotel to anyone and we have been four times to the DR and this was the best hotel out of all them , thank you for the perfect holiday we didn’t want to come home x

If you would like a truly honest opinion of this hotel, read this review from somebody who has been 5 times!

Firstly, the hotel is in a perfect location, beautiful beach & pools, pool bars are great, amazing range of cocktails, drinks & food, absolutely massive with loads of facilities for all ages. I last came to this hotel in 2012 when I was 18 with my parents, I went 3 times prior to that as well and it’s always been my best holiday in any location by a country mile. Because of all of this ^ I took my partner this year to the same hotel, a little to reminisce but also because I knew how great it was. When I use to come, we would get “VIP” all inclusive bands made of coconut shells, didn’t mean an awful lot but upon arrival, I made reference to the fact I had been before but since I had, they’ve introduced a membership scheme so wouldn’t give me that, fair enough. The members get served way quicker, sometimes to the extent that waiters/waitresses would be serving you & then would just go serve somebody else who’s a member. Not good. We got a free upgrade for our room which was great but then when we got in to it, the toilet seat was brown, the lights flickered and would wake us up on a night. We had an email mid way through to rate our experience in which we did, very honestly, the holiday was brilliant but I mentioned the couple of things that were preventing a perfect holiday, we were told we’d be contacted and nothing happened, that was disappointing. Don’t listen to all the bad reviews, so many positives, but the staff had an opportunity to make this holiday perfect and didn’t. That’s a shame, but I’ll be back, most likely with my kids and I absolutely expect my coconut band and a friend of sirenis!!

Had an amazing holiday, all staff were so friendly, food was amazing, head chef even cooked one of our party’s food separately as he has a stomach problem.. if needed extra in fridge it was only a phone call to reception and was sorted in minutes, the beach was lovely the seaweed is nothing like it is in Britain it feels plastic and doesn’t stick to u, the shows in the theatre are absolutely amazing all entertainers are so friendly.. special shout out to baby face who goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is ok.. will be recommending this hotel to anyone who looking at going Dominican.. thank you for an amazing holiday
