Amazing resort. Food the best ever.

Reviewed 11 january, 2023

We stayed in building #4. It was a very quiet area. Close to all amenities. Room was clean. Never had any problems with hot water. A/c worked well. We really enjoyed the food. Every day there was something new and everything was so tasty. Staff was very friendly. Special thanks to Leonardo at Omelet station. There were 2 salt water pools - one is deeper, good for swimming, second one was shallow. There were some rough area on the bottom of the shallow pool. It is ok for walking but for games it is better to wear water shoes. Thank you entertainment team for making our vacation very enjoyable. Regarding drinks - we are not crazy about alcohol, so we drink mostly bear or drink made of bear and tomato juice. The beer was very good.

Do not expect a 4 Stars Resort

Reviewed 8 january, 2023

I will start by saying that despite all the shortcomings, we had a good time. But, this is not a four stars Resort. We bought it with little notice and close to new year's eve, so this time we went for the most competitive price since everything was more than double the price. If you want to avoid reading all the details, I can summarize this hotel as a basic three stars with poor maintenance; moreover, if you are not picky, you can have a nice vacation. Staff 4/5 Friendly and happy to help resolve any question or problem. (90% of them) Food 3/5 The variety of food seemed correct to me; delicious salads, and they even offered unlimited lobster for New Year's dinner. However, the flyer provides about five restaurants, but they only open one, plus the buffet. Facilities 2/5 poor maintenance. We stayed in block 5, ocean view, and the room was basic. The bathroom was clean but deteriorated (as seen in the pictures). The pool had hollows/gaps. The A/C was weak. Entertainment 1/5 I don't give a 0 because one day, the show was excellent. But in general poor entertainment. The new year "party" was boring, and they even failed in the countdown; the DJ was terrible. On the other hand, there were no activities included because they said they cannot bring the catamaran, boats, etc., to the beach for the erosion (hard to believe, hard to explain) Beach: 2/5 But it is not the hotel's fault, they suffered a bad storm one month ago, and the sea took part of the beach.

Only worth it if you get a very very cheap price

This is a 2 star review for a 2 star resort. Pros: -cheap -staff very friendly Cons: -AC went out for 2 days. Staff would not move our room even though our baby was overheated and screaming all night because of the heat. -beach is gone. Not the resort’s fault, but erosion has taken most of the beach, and I don’t see it ever coming back. We came here to lay on the beach and it was too crowded and not enough palapas. -baby’s crib was filthy -food not labeled vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, etc. I’m vegan and there was soy milk among a whole line of milks and yogurts but none of them were labeled. Beans usually didn’t have meat in them but sometimes did, making it really hard to find food. No tofu at any meal ever, even the Asian stir fry. Everything heavily salted and buttered. I ate mostly fruits, vegetables, and beans. -dinner STARTS at 6:30pm. This resort caters to Europeans who eat later, but is tough for families. There were always kids having major meltdowns at dinner. If the buffet started at 5:30 or 6pm kids would do way better. -no vegan desserts -no hot water. Stayed almost a month and took warm/cold showers every single day. -pool very damaged, missing large areas of concrete -toilets in common areas often clogged or doors won’t shut/lock -towels threadbare and falling apart -safes don’t function at all -people aggressively save seats. Don’t plan to sit somewhere nice unless you’re up at 5am saving them.

Do not recommend this place. Very bad food drinks and beds.

Comfort is always important. This place has a nice pool and view. But when I travel and at a all inclusive I want options and good quality. Food was so bad. We went out everyday for food drinks snacks and alcohol. I took photos of my food in hospital pans. Drinks were cheap and tasted awful. I travel all the time. I've never been to somewhere so bad. No idea why anyone thinks the food and drinks are good ? Was nasty, disgusting.

Easily the best you can get for a good price

Reviewed 28 november, 2022

I had done my research for 3 years before booking this resort. I was not disappointed. Room : The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable but the room was very clean and spacious. we booked an ocean front suite but we were given bottom floor. not so good for the view but ideal for walking distance to the beach. it also was the worst for privacy because there is a walking path right in front, lucky there was curtains. tap water is not good for consuming or going anywhere near your mouth but they provide water bottles. no other amenities in the fridge though. TV was an ok size, maybe like 30in. our room had two chairs and a table instead of a sofa but they just ended up being clothes hangers because there isnt much drawers in the rooms. bring hangers or those suspended storage things. i kept my smaller items in plastic bags tucked away. There was no umbrella in our room and we asked the lobby twice for them and we were never brought any and it rained a lot during our stay. Beach: it was kept clean throughout our stay, they do get a lot of algae but this is the best beach youll see in punta cana. no erosion. seats were always available and at good distance apart. way too many sellers on that beach, you can't look anywhere without seeing one. my advice would be to sit in the back so you dont get harrassed too much but yeah it wasnt very relaxing to continously being solicitated. theyll just sit in front of you with their table full of junk and wait and stare at you. bring a pretend book if you dont read. or pretend to sleep. the chairs are well maintained and clean. lots of restrooms available and close by. ( we mostly used ours that was in our room because it was so close by.) Buffet: There was no a la carte restaurants other than the italian one which we didnt need to book prior. we didnt try it because the buffet was too good to miss out on. it's exposed to nature so surely there will have a bug or two during your stay but alert an employee and they will quickly remove it (or the dish if it was in it). i did wish there was more seafood, cooks were only doing asian noodles fried riced and italian pasta every night. in the morning there was always only the eggs cook. try the oatmeal its very good. i was p**ped on in the dining area because the roof is filled with birds and lizards and who knows what, just dont sit next to pillars. They let children serve themselves in the buffet and i saw some lick some of the service tools.... parents should be the ones in charge of getting food for them. i even saw a child with a plate full of chocolate cake and french fries, dont tell me that kid ate it all, that food went to waste and its a shame. Avoid all the food at children arms reach. They don't offer service at the table such as drinks, you have to get everything youself which was fine to us. there was only busboys. they dont really clean the table, they whip it with a cloth to remove crumbs and replace ONLY the ustensils that were used. kitties roaming at will. careful with the orange cat. he didn't do anything, he just looks mean. Resort: i loved the overall design of the resort, there's a lot of vegetation, a lot of shade where you can sit, games, stores. no liquor store though? we didnt try the casino or attended the shows at night. we're daytime people. everything looks beautiful and well maintained. one downside is the resort is very small so if you're a walker which i am, you're going around in circles. but many sights to feast your eyes on. Carefull at night, there isnt much lighting in the pathways and you're going to crush a lot of snails. R.I.P. to all 5 of mine. bring a flashlight. A good variety of cocktails was available. slurpie was either banana or coco loco at the time. We can't wait to go back.
