This hotel located about 20- 30 minutes from the centro. Need a taxi or uber to centro or to the port. Breakfast is okay and more like basic. The pool looks nice. A short walk to the calm beach section. The hotel rent you chair and umbrella with $3 a piece. The front desk personnel provide excellent friendly services.

Good choice for families

The hotel is clean, with swimming pools (one of them indoor, with warm water) and at walking distance from the beach; perhaps, it lies a bit far from the town centre (say, 20 min by feet). A small bar/reastaurant is also available. The staff is kind and helpful; the buffet breakfast is quite rich and good; the wifi is free and relatively fast. As other reviewers said, Punta del Este is a very expensive place, but this hotel is a good choice for families in terms of quality versus price.

old place, not worth the money

Undoubtedly a very nice hotel, long time ago. Now it is not worth the money. Hotel needs to be updated. Spacious rooms with good beds and bathroom. Old poolarea, old gym, old carpets etc etc. Friendly staff, nice location near the beach. Truth being told, for this price you can find much nicer hotels in the area.

Nice

The hotel was nice and clean, not elaborate, but clean. All of the staff was friendly and the reception staff spoke English well. They were also well versed in what was going on in the town. The free garage was a big plus.

Decent for the price

Punta del Este is ridiculously expensive, but we got a good price here as part of a package deal. The hotel is a little dated(~1990s) but has a excellent breakfast buffet, a real nice pool and foosball and pingpong for the kids. There is free wifi. The room we had was a "triple" too small for 4 people, our 2 kids had to share a single twin bed. I think the hotel needs to upgrade their rooms to 2 queen mattresses. The hotel is 1 block from the beach and Playa Mansa is perfect for kids, but a long walk to La Mano sculpture & Avenida Gorlero (which is where many places to eat are) and forget the Marina restaurants- you'll need a rental car or cab ride to get there. The beachside restaurants nearby are insanely expensive with underwhelming food as well, buy empanadas and ice cream off the beach vendors for lunch instead. The casino is 3 blocks away. A fellow gringo we met on the beach told us about Jr. Lenzina on our last day, it is a street only about 6 blocks away and has several good and cheap(for punta) restaurants, if we had known about that 2 days earlier it would have made the hotel even better. Overall a good bargain for families in a crazy-expensive town.
