Different, but wonderful B&B experience

Reviewed 11 october, 2021

This was a wonderful experience. Living at a working farm, with a family as hospitable as Lani and Karl was a real pleasure. Yes, most B&Bs seem to be neat, tidy, and owned by older couples, but this was much different. Being greeted by the owners who were wrapping up their farm work when we arrived, as well as the friendly dogs, cats, chickens and 3 children. The dogs, and maybe children, will accompany you on the short walk to Lake Champlain. The rooms were neat and tidy and appeared as shown on the website. The breakfasts were outstanding. It was interesting learning of Lani &Karl's background & their plans for the farm.

We loved our stay at the Inn. Karl and Loni were so personable and helpful. The inn was clean, our bedroom was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Thanks for a great stay! Hope to return some time.

Delightful farm retreat and Adirondack experience

Reviewed 12 september, 2021

Our stay at the Inn on Lake Champlain was spectacular. Lani, Carl and their family are creating a rural retreat that soothes the soul. Farm-fresh breakfast, thoughtful conversation, comforting rooms, comfortable beds and linens, simple baths. We used the Inn as the jumping off point for daily hiking and exploring adventures on Lakes George and Champlain, enjoying the farm-to-table food and spectacular landscapes of the region. We will definitely be back!

Exactly what the doctor ordered

Reviewed 11 september, 2021

After dropping off our youngest for his first year of college, we happened upon this B&B/farmstay. It was our good fortune that they had an opening at the very last minute. We were welcomed by Karl and Lani, their three young children, 11 puppies, 4 super friendly, mature, working herding dogs, free range chickens and roosters galore, even a mama cow and her calf. In the fenced fields surrounding were cattle and horses, exactly what this country-girl mama needed to soothe her soul. Waking up to the roosters crowing and the lowing of the cows set the tone for a lovely day. Of course, the delicious breakfast of fresh eggs, ham, fruit and freshly baked lemon poppyseed blueberry cake and percolated coffee was incomparable. Simply put, exceeding many breakfasts we have enjoyed in prestigious locales all over the country. Karl and Lani welcomed us as if we were long separated family, showing us their barn and regaling us with tales of their farming and family history. We were charmed by their young children as they prepared for a new school year and the waning days of summer freedom. Even the dogs helped us find our way down the paths to their bit of the coast of Lake Champlain. Looking forward to a return visit as this was magical in its own very special way.

Didn’t see this coming!

Are stay here was the highlight of are week at Lake Champlain! This lodging turned out to be a working farm/Inn run by a remarkable young family of five. Great fun to meet Karl and Lani and learn their incredible story and learn what it means to run a small farm in this day and age. I am looking forward to receiving their future newsletters and hopefully a future visit.
