Sad and in need of an extensive refit.

Room was reasonable but bathroom in terrible state - bath lost great areas of glaze (Pink colour probably defines when it dates from!). Hot water though good. Public rooms depressing and reception staff harrassed by smoke alarm fault irritating much of bedroom corridors. Was eventually fixed by bedtime though. Breakfast average for Morocco. Make it a one night stay.
What a dump

I am touring with Explore and this is the worst hotel of the lot. My window opens to sewer smells, the AC doesn't work, the electrical outlet didn't either until they fixed it. No hair dryer in the whole place and filthy corners. The AC remote is grimy and the water runs rusty...
Reasonable budget hotel close to Medina and Railway Station

This is a budget hotel, but provided you treat it as such, it's not at all bad. The bed in my room was comfortable, the room was clean, the shower and TV (which had English, French, German and Spanish language channels) worked OK, and the staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. They all spoke decent French and some of them spoke English. The breakfast was bit on the basic side, but was OK. The WiFi wasn't great in my room, but it worked fine in the Reception area. Two minor criticisms - a safe in each room was advertised, but there wasn't one. However, I didn't have anything stolen. Also, the manager tried to claim 4 Euros per night "local taxes", whereas the "Notice of Charges" on the wall suggested this should be just 14 Dirhams (about 1.4 Euros) per night. When I queried, they at first clamed the lower rate was only for Moroccan citizens, but they later only made me pay the lower "Moroccan" rate.
Classic Moroccan style

Stayed for 2 nights and was very pleased with the hotel. The stars reflect the type of hotel (no it is not a Marriott or Hilton) and not my personal satisfaction which was 4 star. Breakfast buffet was adequate with very fresh real baguettes. What more do you want?

This hotel is very close by the old city or they called it Medina here, just in the front of the hotel, so it’s nice to go to market in Medina. From my hotel room, i can see local people actifity, bargain for a taxi, fruit seller, quiet busy actifity but i like to see local actifity anyway. One things that surprise me, when i go for breakfast, there is no fresh fruit and no yoghurt, but plenty of bread.
