Quinton, Charles, and Earl were awesome! Just a little weird not seeing the employees have any name tags, the first one I saw was Levi when I checked out, so shout out to him lol. Other than that it was excellent service.

Very nice hotel - comfortable, clean, good amenities - held a wedding party for my cousin in the back room behind the bar, which was a lovely event space. Also Jennifer was a great parking attendant :)
Stacey provided excellent service.

Stacey was amazing! Took great care of us! He was efficient and took great care of our car. We have used other valet services and often they roll in on two wheels. Stacey was professional and courteous.
Close to everything downtown

Stayed overnight as we had a concert at Red Hat. The venue was one block away so the hotel was really convenient. It has a Starbucks that is attached and super convenient. There are lots of food options near by and we were able to walk down to the Natural Science Museum earlier in the day. It’s free to go, so recommend if you have kids. There are electric scooter scattered around too that you use via app. Nice to have if you don’t want to walk around. The only issues I had was that I checked in online and while my room was ready, my mobile key wouldn’t work, so I went back down and got a physical key. Not a deal breaker since our room was ready a lot earlier. Then the bigger turn off for me is that we wanted to let the kid play in the pool since they have a nice indoor pool, there was a big family down there just running crazy. They had the life preserver(the donut one) down and was pulling it around the pool and then there was food and trash all over the floor and stuff floating in the pool. I understand kids are kids but it would have been nice just to have someone check in on the pool area every now and then. The hot tub was closed off and drained, which was disappointing. Idk if it was becuse if Covid still buy was looking forward to that as well. All in all it’s a great place to stay though. Very convenient and the rooms are nice and we couldn’t hear anything in any other rooms.
Continues to frustrate

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times. Not so frequent that you would ask 'why do you keep going back, then?' But maybe once per year or so. It has historically been our go to downtown because the location is hard to beat and until recently, there was little competition. I will not focus on my prior complaints, and focus purely on this stay though. For starters, it is your average Marriott - the bed is comfortable enough. The rooms have been refreshed since it was originally opened. It was reasonably clean, but you can find dust if you go looking for it. The staff is coarse and not helpful at all. For example, my wife inquired about room service. She was told fairly rudely that they are not offering room service "because of COVID." She then asked if she could call down to the bar/restaurant and place an order that we could pick up and bring back to the room. She was told "No, because that would be room service." We laughed about it and just figured something else out. Ultimately, for these hotels to continue not to offer basic amenities for the class is unacceptable. No room service, no housekeeping, the lounge/bar is closed until dinner hours, etc. It is getting old and blaming COVID is ridiculous at this point.
