I was visiting University of Illinois for Father's weekend with my daughter and everything was sold out. I had stayed the past few years at the Super 8 across the street and it was simple but clean and kept up. Only a 10 minute drive down the highway from Champaign. This year the only thing open was the Knights Inn and I assumed it was probably about the same. WRONG. This facility was so run down, no signs of any upkeep for decades. Truly a scary place. There was a sign on the front door indicating the place was not safe for habitation. The front desk informed me it was only referring to the pool area that was under construction. Avoid it at all cost.

The motel has free parking. My check in went slowly. The room was adequate and I got a good night's sleep. I received the wake up call I requested. When I went to check out, there was no one at the front desk.

I had a great night the reviews weren't so great so i have to admit i was a little scared but i got into the jacuzzi and it was clean and i soaked until 3am i got out showered and i went to bed in the most comfy bed ever, no bugs, no bites just nice clean relaxation. The breakfast in the morning was fresh and it was good. The only thing i rented the room a little late the gentlemen could've went down on the price overall great stay would do it again anytime
Don't Stay Here

We were traveling and just needed a place to stay the night. Glad it was just one night. We were traveling with one handicapped person with a cane. They put us on the 2nd floor all the way on the other side of the property, past the pool that was covered with a tarp. I think I saw 3 cars in the parking lot. Why all the way on the other side of property? The room smelled like an ashtray even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. The a/c filter should have been changed a long time ago. The a/c blows directly on your face. The shower was ok but very dark in the room. When we tried to check out the next morning the clerk was out getting breakfast somewhere else. We called her on her cell number which was on the front counter. She said she would be right back. We left to get breakfast and came back to check out. Don't bother staying here.
Not worth the trip.... Book elsewhere

Stayed mid June. First room had the knob broke off the A/C so I couldn't adjust it even though it was 1q0 degrees outside. Second room was better, but all the curtains look like they were underwater with stains across the bottom. Pool was not open, hot tub not working. Breakfast was a plastic wrapped cinnamon bun and coffee. WiFi was spotty at best. Only plus side is staff was very pleasant.
