Set in a quiet area of Rennes within walking distance of the historic city centre, this cosy hotel provides a tranquil place to stay for both business and leisure travellers. Many of the city's cultural attractions can be reached within a ten-minute drive, including Rennes Cathedral, the main railway station, and the iconic Brittany Parliament Building, and families might enjoy an afternoon at the Espace des Sciences and Thabor botanical gardens, also a ten-minute drive from the hotel. Welcome disappointing. Room not ready, so switched to another, helped mobility, and could have before 5pm!! Seems a lot gone into making this hotel quirky and arty, but forgot the customer needs comfort. Only one chair in room. Only small bar with just few stools and two comfortable chairs, or hard chairs in cold breakfast area... Bar seemed only open 7-10.00pm. service again non existent. Breakfast not great. No coffee or kettle in room. More suitable for one night business stays.

Very affordable stay closish to the city centre

We booked here as this was the best affordable hotel close enough to the city centre. There is some quirkiness about this place, with an incredible amount of memorabilia. The rooms are alright in size for a night's stay and the bathroom is a good size, too. You can either walk to the city centre (30-40 minutes) or take one of the buses on the main road. Easy. The breakfast was OK, but you had to look around to find the various foods in some of the memorabilia. Quite funny. The orange-juicing machine was amazing. For one or two nights this is actually a good place and you can park your car off the road.

Super small old basic room

Really small old room, with small bathroom and noise from outside!! their moto: the hotel that smilles, couldn't be further from the truth, the receptionists both the older man and the younger lady were snob, not helpfull at all and they certainly never smiled! Also the one thing that made a terible impression to us was that she always parked her little red car right on top of the pavement in the middle of the staircase that led to the hotel entrance so everybody tried to go around it carring their luggage, although there were alot of parking spaces at the back of the hotel no more than 30 steps away! The only good thing is that is cheap and offers parking spaces.
