Peaceful Relaxing Location

Reviewed 4 november, 2021

We stayed here over the October Half Term as a group of 6 adults the hotel with at low occupancy and unfortunately the weather wasn't the best, which highlighted the lack of amenities on site as well as the remoteness of the location from local shops and bars. The hotel is set out in Villa style and blocks are set into the site of a valley meaning it is quite hilly. With 3 pools plus a mini kids pool I'd imagine its great when the sun is shining (unfortunately we only had one day of sun) The beach is a 5 minute free shuttle ride and is private for hotel guests only. There is an indoor pool and sauna for Spa users minimum cost 40 euros a treatment. Local City of Rethymno worth a visit for shopping and sight seeing and local taverna's are great for eating Positives; The staff are friendly and helpful Room and hotel cleanliness Room Comfortable with Air Con and a good bed Broadband Fast and great coverage all over Could Improve on: Food repetitive and could be hotter All inclusive lacking during the day for snacks and no spirits served until 7pm so no G&T's etc, just beer and local wine and house cocktails and it stops at 10.30pm

There are vacations... And then there are vacations! Our stay at Rimondi Grand Resort and Spa was outstanding. Management (Evi) and her Staff weren't just helpful and business like but they were personable. I felt welcome every day of our stay and each and every employee made me feel like family, not just guests. I fully endorse this full service Resort for anyone who wants a no stress, relaxing, fulfilling and enjoyable vacation on the island of Crete.

Impeccably clean

Myself and my daughter have just spent a week at the Rimondi The staff are fabulous, so obliging and helpful We stayed AI the food was average I will definitely stay in the Rimondi again but not AI It is so inexpensive to eat out in the local town Rythmon The Rimondi is scruplessly clean, our room was cleaned every day to a very high standard

Family Holiday

This hotel is great if you are looking for somewhere quiet and want to relax all day around the resort (three swimming pools and lots of sunbeds). It is beautiful, very big, clean and the staff are very helpful. Just a word of warning though that there are a lot of stairs and ramps so you will get fit whether you like it or not! There is a hotel shuttle bus to the town but it is a paid service and operates under a booking system. There is also a free shuttle bus to the beach reserved for the hotel but this has to be booked too. I would strongly recommend hiring a car if you want to see different parts of Crete (we hired one a couple of days after arriving at the hotel from a local company near the hotel called Compass Crete). The only downside of the hotel for me was the food which will not to be to everyone's taste (it doesn't differ greatly from day to day), so having a car to go to different restaurants gets round this issue. Finally, a special mention to Evi and Michael at reception who go to great lengths to make sure you are having a great time

Nice relaxing holiday 😎 - we recommend!

This hotel was a lovely stay - more of a relaxing type of trip perfect for couples… The Staff are friendly - a big highlight Manis the pool bar man, he made us smile everyday he was so kind, chatty and just an all round great guy! Staff at reception were helpful. Our room was clean and enjoyed the spa shower and our huge comfy bed, we paid extra for a private pool although was too cold to get in but can imagine it would be brilliant mid summer? When booking this hotel just need to keep in mind its quite far from any shops or restaurants so definitely need to bring spare money for taxis etc. We spent most our evenings in the bar with the pool and air hockey tables - we loved it in here thanks to Christiano for our cocktails each night 😎. All inclusive drinks finish at 22:50 - keep that in mind it was perfect for us on a couples holiday as we were done most nights around then anyway. We enjoyed the food here lunch/dinner had a choice for everyone pasta, pizza, chips or meat every night which was great for us 👍🏻. The views while sunbathing are amazing here - Bali beach was our favourite day out definitely worth a visit and the taxi drivers around Greece are so accomodating and friendly. This place is a lovely stay for an escape away, less busy type of holiday and would definitely come again❤️. Yassou 🤠.
