Modern, clean attractive hotel and bedrooms. Lovely and clean. Modern bathroom. Great continental breakfast in modern dining area. Tea and coffee available 24/7 with fresh milk available. 20 minute walk to beginning of main area. Rooms very warm even in March with window open!! Would definitely stay here again if In Reykjavík. Would have given it five if nearer the centre

Stayed in this hotel after moving from the Nurderey Reykjavik Road. DO NOT CONFUSE THE TWO, which is in the middle of an industrial estate. This hotel was warm and inviting with friendly and helpful staff when we booked in at short notice. The room was clean and warm and was situated a short walk or bus ride to Reykjavik. Which is a beautiful place to visit. We loved it because it was so near a coastal road with stunning views. The breakfast was plentiful, quite continental. The breakfast room was clean, and always well stocked by the staff and they were pleasant. The reception staff, especially a lovely lady who was on the desk on Saturday 1 Feb was so helpful organising our coach to the airport when we moved hotels. Would we stay here again most definitely.

Well Priced, Quiet location

The room were clean and bright. The breakfast was typical European. There is no staff at the desk. They provide a key code to get into the room, Parking is limited to eight cars. That wasnt a problem until the last evening. We would definately stay here again!

New and clean but tiny

Reviewed 10 august, 2019

Our room was modern and clean but so small that one person would have to walk past the bed to let the other one go by. Two people cannot move comfortably in this room. It was also very hot in the room. A fan was provided but didn’t do much with only one small window to open. Good location—20 minute walk to the shopping and restaurant district.

Good night's sleep

First of all, there are several Nordurey hotels. This property is is Reykjavik proper and next door to Laugardalslaug pool. I read one of two reviews that gave his property the lowest rating and, judging from the pictures, it was the wrong property. Stayed here for one night since I was transiting. There weren't too many good options in Keflavik/Reykjanes area, so I decided to pick a hotel in the city since I have 20 hours to kill. There was a mixup at check in in the early evening--someone was already in my room. I called the number provided at the front desk and was immediately informed that I was moved to another room but apparently did not get the email with door code combination. The room, as had already been commented in previous reviews, is small but adequate. This is the first hotel I can remember in Iceland where I had a "real" double bed instead of two half-queens joined together. The very nice nicely pressed duvet covers and sheets were a real treat. If I only had one comment, it would be the towels. They need to upgrade them to thick and plush towels. They have a 24-hour espresso/coffee machine in the breakfast area, which is a welcome treat. Unfortunately I was visiting when RKV was having a "heat" wave so it was hot in the room but nothing that a fan cannot fixed.
