Nice room but still with reduced services.

We frequently use Courtyard hotels when traveling. The COVID paranoia has definitely impacted this hotel and not in a good way - minimal housekeeping service and reduced food hours. Our room was clean and comfortable and the shower had excellent water pressure. Hand towels were missing on arrival but rapidly appeared when asked for. The very limited menu for breakfast and dinner was of average quality. Our room at the west side of the hotel had lots of highway 75 traffic noise - our room on the east side a few weeks earlier was extremely quiet. Staff were responsive and friendly. I think the Courtyards are a great value overall but if things don't get back to what we have come to expect in the past, I'll look elsewhere.
Ok. Better hotelsbin the area

Very odd parking lot. Spaces are far from the lobby. Even weirder elevator placement on 1st floor. Several minute walk away from the lobby for no reason. Friendly staff. Rooms are typical courtyard which are nice. Was underwelemed versus other hotels I have stayed at in the very close area. Had some choices for breakfast which was good considering covid.

Average Courtyard hotel with traditional courtyard layout with the rooms circling the pool. Nice for those that have the pool side (even numbers); parking lot side is odd numbers. The elevators are on the side of the building about half way down so it’s a walk from the front desk. Check-in up front and drive to the side for parking. There was some outside noise but not terrible. The a/c in the room was a bit too loud for me. The fabric upholstered furniture is started to show wear and some of the towels are getting thin. The bed was a bit too hard. Wish all Courtyards would provide a better hairdryer; this one does not. There was a makeup remover disposable cloth provided which is appreciated however there were no sanitizing wipes provided to wipe down any switches, remote, or surfaces. There was a card next to the remote saying they sanitized heavy touch points. Have status with Marriott and requested an upgrade on the app at the time of reservation - was not observed. Not bad but not outstanding. Just an average hotel and may try a different location next time.
No hot water

The bed was hard so it hurt my hips. Then woke up to no hot water. Very bad hotel experience for a Marriott property. Counter staff was friendly. I like not needing a WiFi password. Pool area looks nice. Room was attractive. Coffee maker was on a shelf in the closet??? No typical plastic water cups???
Denied Service. Refused to check me in for my reservation because of my disability.

Denied Service. Refused to check me in for my reservation because of my disability. Saturday, April 24th at approximately 6:58pm I arrived at the Courtyard Dallas Richardson at Spring Vally hotel to check-in; I had an existing reservation with this hotel which I scheduled on the Bonvoy App, as I’ve been a member with them for a couple years now. Upon entering the front desk agent, Kokeeta(or Kokeesha) immediately began yelling at me in front of other guests for not wearing a mask. I informed her I do not wear one as my medical condition prohibits me from doing so and that I have a medical exemption on file with my healthcare provider. She asked to see it, and I informed her that it's not something I carry around with me as its HIPPA Protected Health information and I do not have to provide it to her per HIPPA law. She essentially said "then I'm not going to serve you." I told her I had a reservation and I simply want to go to my room but she refused to check me in. I asked her if she was aware that that falls under medical discrimination and if was fine with me filing an ADA complaint and she told me to what I needed to do but she would not serve me if I did not wear a mask. I exited the building and got into my vehicle and called corporate customer service and after a long hold and explaining the situation, the Elite customer care agent for Marriott, Sharay(whom refused to spell her name for me) did nothing but talk over me, interrupt me, and argue with me over the legality of denying me service because of my exemption from wearing face coverings. I drove from Oklahoma, a 3-hour drive, only to be met with hostility and discrimination from the front desk agent and customer service agent and did not have a place to stay because they would not serve me without wearing a mask. Meanwhile people are eating in the lobby without their mask on... I got off the phone with the customer serve agent since it wasn't going anywhere and left the property. ADA Complaint has been filed and I’ll be cancelling my membership with Marriott and never doing business with them again. I also shared this story with my 25,000+ social media following.
