Within Walking Distance of Nature & History
Reviewed 3 november, 2021
Stayed here during a weekend visit with friends. The hotel was in the business district, which was dead on a weekend but within walking distance of restaurants, outdoor activity spaces (e.g., the canal walk), and historic sites. Experienced contactless check-in but staff were around and available for questions. The room was standard and enough space for two. The hotel was not full which is why I was baffled that we were given a room in a corner of one floor with rooms that were filled with other guests instead of spreading us out on the floor. For the most part, it was quiet but I did hear children in the hallway. The room and hotel were clean. I would stay here again.
Wedding Block of Rooms + Sunday Morning Brunch for 70 People

The physical hotel is fine, clean, nice lobby and rooms. We had a suite with a living room, bedroom with king bed, and adjoining bedroom with two double beds for a family wedding. The patio next to the pool on the third floor is a great place to gather if warm enough to be outside. The gentleman who helped me organize the wedding block was amazingly accommodating with last minute reservations and changes. Omni has the most generous contract I could find when booking a wedding block. The location is great as guests could walk to restaurants. One of two issues we had was when my 94 year old mother in law (who had been traveling 10 hours due to canceled flights) checked in on a Friday evening when my husband and I were at the rehearsal dinner. The gentleman at registration told her they did not have a reservation for her and the hotel was completely sold out. I had made her reservation and had a registration list with her name on it. After some phone calls with the front desk, they were able to find the reservation and check her in. It was just incompetent and lacking in customer service. The second issue concerned the brunch we hosted at the Omni Sunday morning. The gal who helped me organize it was great. But the two times I went to the buffet to get some eggs, the platter was empty. My husband had to tell the wait staff to refill the coffee. Again, a little sloppy. I will not host anything here again.

Feels corporate for sure but that's not the end of the world. Conveniently located clean and easy. There is a gym and a starbucks in the lobby. Getting to and from the hotel from the airport is easy as well. If Uber is surging, the taxis aren't too crazy, I think we paid $30 for ours.
Decent place considering our new reality

Doing the best they can considering the pandemic, lack of good customer service due too shortage of personnel. Those available were always wearing masks some were kind but others would pass as rude probably overwhelmed. Great location and close to good restaurants. Room was excellent for sleeping. Would stay again.

I had a good experience. I enjoy that it is located at a very walkable area. You can walk to restaurants and bars. It’s right downtown Richmond. It has a parking garage. I didn’t get to interact much with staff but overall I had a positive experience. The room was clean and appropriate.
