Found roaches in the room. We informed them that we were leaving. Staff was kind and did refund our money but had we known we never would gone there. Hoping this review helps others make their choices. With all of the cleaning that is necessary for Covid, we were surprised to see the this

We had been staying at the nearby LQ for years until they were sold multiple times and no longer accepted dogs. Red Roof was our last resort, because of the many poor reviews. We needn't have worried. The property was undergoing a bottom-up renovation, and the staff was excellent the two times we stayed here. We stayed in a first floor room nerthe lobby. It was clean and comfortable, despite RR's new hard floor surfacing. Our dog has been trained to sleep bed mat because of previous problems at "better" facilities, so I prefer the hard floor. It easier to to clean and maintain, less likely to harbor hidden pests from animals whose owners don't maintain scrupulous flea and tick protection. The room was quiet most of the time until a family with several younger children moved into the room with an adjoining room. They quieted down before our normal bed time. The breakfast choices were limited but adequate. The quality of the coffee in the lobby more than made up for the lack of a coffee maker in our room. We were looking forward to staying here again this spring until COVID forced us to cancel our trip. I hope that when we can travel again safely, this RR Inn will still be open and equally well operated.

When we checked in for our room, which had been booked about one week prior to our arrival, we were told we didn't have a reservation. I gave Jessica, the manager, our confirmation number, and she proceeded to see what she could do to help us. We booked online through a third party (Hotwire.com). It took a lot of detective work to locate exactly where the issue was, but as it turns out, Hotwire failed to forward the info to the hotel. Jessica spent a lot of time on the phone, but finally was able to fix the problem Hotwire created. Thank you Jessica! The cleaning staff worked hard and quickly to prepare a room for us, and they did a great job. We'll definitely stay here again because of the great service and cleanliness. We will definitely not use Hotwire again though.

The breakfast would leave u starving and there are not drinks at the front desk like advertised. My remotes didnt even have batteries in them. Had to go buy my own. Another thing is they like to run your debit card without your permission twice and costed me $72 in overdraft fees. I told them in had the cash for the 3 days but they ran card anyways. The front desk day lady was rude as heck and same with the night time clerk. But the ok only thing positive about this place was my housekeeper barn. She was sweet and nice. She took good care of me.

This is a Great Inn to stay at, I had the most friendly staff. I will stay here again when I visit Richmond. The rooms were clean and very Quiet. I totally enjoyed my stay. My Housekeeper was so friendly. She was available when ever I needed something.
