Good rooms, great position.
The hotel was clean and efficient for our two night stay in July. The position is great in the Olympic Park area - quiet and seemingly safe. Reception was friendly and welcoming; rooms were comfortable with all necessary facilities, including a good bathroom and shower. Breakfast was OK but perfectly adequate - nothing fancy but good for the price. Just next door is a great pizzeria with a fabulous buffet - very good value for money once we had clambered over the language barrier. In the other direction is a massive supermarket selling everything that you might want to buy for your stay. We would cheerfully stay at the Monza again for any future visits.
Great if you have business nearby
The main perk of the hotel is the location. It is just across the street from the olympic center, so it is a terrific option if you have business there. I stayed two nights there to see UFC 212 on the Jeuvenesse (sp?) arena and it supplied my needs nicely. The hotel isn't particularly cheap, but the rooms are confortable, with small refrigerator, confortable beds, overall cleanless etc. Bathrooms are nice and the rooms are good. Breakfast has some variety. After the olympic games came they were pretty much forced to do a overhaul and it shows. Still, the location is iffy at best (again: unless you have business there). While you can catch a BRT and stop really nearby, it will take you upwards to one hour from most important locations to get to it, so if you want to know the center of Rio or the most famous monuments, the location may be a hinderance in a way. It is good if you wanna know Barra for what it is worth though.
Its one paradise
Monza hotel is a good choice of hotel, has a good room service, great food, has a great location close to several points turisticos.possui an optimal leisure area with swimming pool, soccer field and gym.
Awful
We stayed just one night for the UFC event in HSBC Arena. By the way, the only pro of the hotel is that it is located in front of the arena. The hotel is dirty, old and poorly maintained. Our room was dirty and there was a swarm of mosquitoes.I was literally afraid to get tetanus in the bathroom.The staff is also poorly trained. The room rate is abusively expensive when compared to what the hotel offers. Furthermore, it is far from the airport. Conclusion: considering the location, for one night sleep after an event with the friends it is acceptable. However, please do not stay here for more than one night and never bring your wife or girlfriend. It is certainly not a romantic place.
Perto da Jeunesse Arena
O principal ponto positivo é que o hotel fica praticamente em frente ao Parque Olímpico e a Jeunesse Arena, dá pra ir andando tranquilamente e de forma segura, é realmente muito perto. Fica próximo a um grande supermercado também, pode ajudar. O hotel em si é bom, ok, sem luxos, mas vale muito pra quem for em eventos ali nas redondezas. O café da manhã também é legal, tem um ótimo chuveiro, e tem até uma piscina que pareceu bacana (não tive tempo de experimentar). O wi-fi é muito ruim. De uber até o Barra Shopping dá uns 15, 20 reais.
