THere were coackroaches in my room and in the hall, hotel desk didn't care at all, I asked to speak with the manager who wasn't "available" at the time and never called me back, as I had requested. there were no indications on how to contact front desk or room service from the room (which I had never seen before)....and it got me thinking: what if it was an emergency? I tried calling the hotel from my phone several times and the call wouldn't go through. No vegan options for breakfast. what a shame!!!!

Ideal for 1 night stay between flights /transfers

Good room views, free upgrade worth £60, great views from rooftop pool & breakfast area. Clean enough. Ideal location at the very end of the airport (towards arrivals). Corridors were very noisy with cleaners and people leaving throughout the night.

Decent hotel with airport access

The best things about this hotel are the breakfast and the proximity to the airport. The room was fine. Reception was a little slow. Spent one night here for an early am flight out of SDU. The separate elevator to get to breakfast wasn't operating properly and that required a call to the front desk.

Fine, in a Carioca kind of way

Stayed there overnight in August 2022. It was just what I needed. Right next to Santos Dumont (easy 3 minute walk). Very good breakfast with the normal Brazilian fare. Safe nightlife right outside. Taxis. Good wifi. ATM for cash. But it is Carioca, in that the finishing touches of the hotel were just a bit off and poorly thought through. Light switches were rarely at a 90 degree angle. Things were poorly jointed together. Some of the flooring in the hallways was already coming up. Poorly placed plugs in the room. Small things like that. All that said, it was just what I needed, at a great price, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again for a short trip.

Overpriced and overated, all about a view which I did not see

Unfortunately, overrated , poorly managed and hence overpriced. Will become a white Elephant unless changes made. Reception is poor, seems like a bus station, ugly and with queues. After walking endless corridors the room was found, it is small as is is the semi bathroom, the sink is in the bedroom. There is no information about restaurants or other facilities, supposed to be room service but no menu or information about no to call. Television supposed to have some info but system not working, neither was Television stations and internet lasted 3 minutes before shutting down and continued like this until I gave up. The restaurant matched the hotel, slow service, in fact no service until I left the table to find a waiter. No decent menus, all done on a telephone which is ridiculous, if the room had a menu and a number for room service I would have left immediately. I fly into Santos Dumont regularly but will not use this place again, it is a gimmick, two nearby hotels far better at half the price.
