ONE OF THE WORST MARRIOT'S IN THE USA

I just attended a major convention at this marriott with over 900 attendees in a 46 floor hotel. Never more than 2 check in attendants so the wait was at least 30 minutes. Only saw the elite check in staffed once. Only 1 elevator was working which meant very long waits and no elevator social distancing and the banquet food was horrible. The managers always seemed to be busy and were reluctant to compensate anyone for their troubles or refund the $20 daily resort fee. The rooms are renovated bit tiny and the thermostats seemed to have a mind of their own. STAY AWAY!

Beautiful hotel, great location

I initially reviewed this hotel during my stay after an unfavorable experience at the lobby bar. The staff seemed overwhelmed by the Halloween (and post-football) crowds and were trying to close - possibly before the posted closing time - and were not providing the best service. We were also disappointed to learn you couldn’t control the temperature in your room - it is centrally controlled by the hotel and it was very warm in our room until we cracked a window. After the unfavorable review, the General Manager Patrick responded with the sincerest and most professional apology I have ever received, so I wanted to edit my original review (as I said they had poor customer service). Because I couldn’t edit, I deleted and am now posting a new review with a fresh perspective. I think they were just busy that weekend, but the hotel is gorgeous, clean, and wonderfully located. We enjoyed our time, despite the few hiccups we encountered, and I will take the time to consider all aspects of a visit before I post my next review. Thank you, Patrick, and Chicago Marriott!!

Great Chicago hotel; great location

I was completely happy with my stay at this Marriott. The people at the front desk went out of their way to accommodate me. The rooms are well appointed and quiet. There is a little food place in the lobby to pick up snacks and sandwiches. The hotel location is great with many good restaurants very close by. Above all, I appreciated their masking policy.

Staff was extremely accommodating. Every request was honored and executed in a t8mely fashion. Hotel was very clean, staff wearing masks at all times. The only exception was the female bartender at the lobby bar who didn’t seem to understand that the mask should also cover your nose. Wonderful wines by the glass and decent comfort food was available. Centrally located to river, navy pier and subway.

Amazing stay at the Chicago Marriott on Mag Mile. We got upgraded rooms on the 44th floor and a suite on the 45th floor as a titanium member. Came to the city for a bachelor party weekend and loved this hotel. Wish the club lounge was open or even a sit down restaurant with normal breakfast. Overall great stay
