Great hotel!

Reviewed 29 october, 2021

This was our 3rd time at this hotel and we will never stay anywhere else! Twigs is a wonderful restaurant with creative food and attentive staff. Our room was spotless and the breakfast was expansive, offering many options. The courtesy of the shuttle to Mayo is priceless. Thank you to you and your wonderful staff!!!

I am extremely impressed with everything about the Centerstone. The front desk kind, courteous service the delicious food at Twigs Restaurant, the shuttle service and the kind gentlemen that drive the shuttles. Never a long wait to get to Mayo or to be picked up after your day of appointments. Nice, fresh clean rooms are a welcome sight after a day of appointments. I am so glad when I started coming here in July that I chose this hotel out of all the ones there was to choose from. I’ll never stay anywhere else!

Customer Service Exceptional

We booked a block of rooms for a college athletic team. Kristine Ihrke, was professional, organized, and quick to get back with us in regards to our travel needs. We had room lists and keys made before arrival and were flexible with arrival and depart times. This is not the norm in working with hotels with large blocks of rooms. Fantastic experience and we will be using Centerstone Plaza for future events in the area and for my personal family travel. Kevan

Medical visit

Reviewed 22 june, 2021

We have tried other hotels in Rochester but none hold a candle to Centerstone. This is the only place we stay and the only one we recommend. The staff is second to none and go above and beyond for you. They do their best to make whatever accommodations they can and always have a welcoming smile for you. The proximity to the clinic makes for a delightful walk in the summer and the ease of access to surrounding services is a bonus. Their shuttle drivers are just as welcoming and kind as is the desk staff. Centerstone is a home away from home when you have to come for the Mayo or any activities not related to medical appointments.

A bit of a bait and switch feeling

Reviewed 2 june, 2021

PROS: • Location is GREAT. Nice to be right near Soldiers Field for some outdoor time • Close to the Methodist/Gonda/Mayo buildings. • Shuttle service available. (we did not use, but nice to have so you can be dropped right at the doors) • Free parking • Great restaurant (Twiggs) attached • Nice linens CONS: • Tired room (608) with fixtures that need to be updated/fixed. • Parking lots crowded and chopped up, you need to cross the road for one, not many handicap friendly spots open. • Breakfast unappealing, coffee machine not good. • I felt the room should be $25 less than we paid. As it was competitive to a brand new hotel we had just stayed in for the same price. We had to book a last minute room when we found my dad had to be at Mayo one more night. (We had already been in town at another Hotel for 9 nights that was booked) We had been at Centerstone earlier in the day for lunch at Twiggs, and saw the lobby and liked the location, so we booked a room calling in from the hospital. Lobby has been updated. Restaurant had a GORGEOUS patio and good food. Once you leave the lobby and get in an elevator to go up, the time warp begins. Time to renovate! I saw in old reviews from 2019 that "renovations were in the works" but our room, 608 in this year 2021 was NOT updated. There was a bed that slanted a bit, the shower handle barely worked was super loose, the shower head was leaky and the lighting poor in the bathroom. Glad to open a window to fresh air as fragrance was used for masking the old smell. There was no soap in our room, so I called the front desk, and they told me "I can come and get it at the front desk" I'm used to a hotel bringing it TO my room, especially if it's something that was supposed to be there in the first place. When I went to get the soap, the front desk girl was just sitting there on her phone. The next morning, the other front desk girl was on her phone as well, and I overheard the front desk girls complaining about a customer that was complaining about their room...it just didn't sit well with me as very professional to see this behavior.
