Clean but Basic

A very clean hotel but with a very dated decor and very basic amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A good BBQ restaurant (Dinosaurs) was within walking distance and with nice walking routes along the river and falls available. There is no airport shuttle currently.

I used the Trip Advisor Plus rate for the hotel. Very reasonable price. The staff at the hotel is amazing. From check-in through check-out, and at various times of the day, the front desk staff was awesome. Very nice, helpful, etc.
Descent place to stay in Rochester

This property has seen its better days, but still a nice place to stay. Convenient location in the midst of Rochester downtown. Good parking facilities. Bright, clean, airy rooms. Comfortable bed and sleep. Cant complain.

Rooms not clean. Windows look like they have never been washed. Pillow covers stained look unwashed. They advertise breakfast but in the morning told me not available because Monday and Tuesday are the slow days! Area is rough and overall a bad experience. Overall a depressing place to stay
Worst Stay Ever/ Safety Issues

Fire alarm went off, we were on the 6th floor. Carried our suitcases and belongings down 6 flights of stairs. No staff anywhere. 3 fire trucks out front; fire fighters strapped with oxygen tanks entering building. Did I mention no staff to be found anywhere? No one ever called our room, no one contacted us to ensure our safety. No help, period. We left immediately and hoped we had gathered all of our belongings. We really enjoyed Rochester, but thoroughly disliked this hotel experience.
