terrible !!! broken down lights , tvs are old wall paper peeling ! staff not helpful at all and always seem new to the place and business. the house keepers are the only employees reliable and even then if it weren’t for one employee named mildra; I couldn’t even say that! over priced and laundry room is never really clean the pool area is gross with dirty towels and weave hair and eye lashes everywhere and the rules on appointment for pool use is ridiculous! the breakfast is limited and nit very good either! the worst part is paying high prices for month long stays and having your complaints ignored!!!

We spent a week back in western NY seeing family and stayed at the Residence Inn. The location right off 390 is super convenient as is the fact that its walking distance to several chain restaurants. But what really made it was the staff. We had some 'issues' during the stay including a broken a/c unit and some noisy neighbors in the wee hours of the night. But the staff resolved these issues without delay and we found everyone (housekeeping, maintenance, front desk) to be extremely pleasant and helpful.

Excellent customer service, clean room, bed has fresh linen fragrance, Netflix and TV work great on 1st attempt (not like other hotels). Hot tub & pool area are maintained & comfortable. They play music & have big open windows to let sunlight in Includes a full kitchen with utensils, pots and silverware already stocked. Don’t have to walk to front desk to get cooking appliances. Furniture in room is comfortable & clean. Love the layout of hotel, not too many stairs. No one wants to go to a hotel and have to walk up 10 flights of stairs to get to the next floor. Hot breakfast included and complimentary popcorn in room that you can enjoy while watching TV Highly recommend for all types of travel. Will definitely be coming back

I’ve never written a review before but the amount of filth compelled me to this time. It’s a shame because other than the room being so dirty everything else was ok. The Good stuff: the room was a 2 bd 2 bath full kitchen and living room. Lots of space and dog friendly. Great parking right near the room. The bad stuff: DIRTY! Hair on bathroom vanity (not our hair), crumbs and stuck on food in microwave and under the sink, hair, food stains and overall filth on the desk chair, handprints and fingerprints all over the bed headboard. Gross!!
Disappointed, gross “stay”

Unfortunately, this property has gone downhill significantly over the last several months. I am originally from Rochester but I live downstate and visit my family numerous times per year. The Residence Inn in Greece was like a temporary home base for me as it is close to both my parents and sister. To give an idea of the repeat business I give this property, I stayed there in May 2020, August 2020, November 2020 and most recently April 2021. I attached an unfavorable review to the survey they sent me back in August 2020 because the room was not cleaned to their normal standard (upon checkin) but the worst was the nonstop marijuana smoking by other guests in the hotel. I’m sorry, I am not a smoker and cannot inhale that stuff. I take Marriott seriously when they say their properties are NON SMOKING but apparently I take this pledge more seriously than the actual hotel. I decided to give this hotel another chance when I visited in November. The stay was adequate, so I returned to this property a couple of weeks ago when I visited to help my elderly parents get their COVID vaccines at the Dome. I can’t report on an actual “stay” because I could not even sleep the night there. By 9pm when I returned from my parents house the floor REEKED of marijuana (I could smell it clearly through my MASK) I called the desk they “investigated” and said, “Yes, we smell it, but we can’t tell what room it’s from sorry!” I asked how this new policy they instated of charging an additional $250 on your credit card as an incidental hold will deter this type of activity if they don’t stop the person doing it? I also asked how does this help the folks who don’t smoke or use drugs? The desk rep told me once the person checks out, they will charge the appropriate person for smoking. There really is no caring for the people who stay there. The tipping point for me was when I was trying to put my daughter to sleep and the pullout mattress was covered in urine stains! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Ever hear of waterproof mattress covers? They are a thing. My daughter has autism and it is not easy to change her routine with no notice, but we had to get out of there. It’s a pandemic and everyone pretends to be “cleaning” and “sanitizing” so much, yet you are allowing housekeeping staff to fold up urine soaked mattresses into the couch. GROSS. I had to check out and find another hotel late at night. Staff offered me nothing other than saying “Sorry, hope your night gets better!” How obnoxious to someone that comes repeatedly to the hotel. Sad to say I will need to find another hotel near my family.
