Has become our favorite place to stay in rock hill pretty quiet and peaceful place nice employees good breakfast reasonable rates clean and well maintained i highly recommend this Howard Johnson's hotel

Thanksgiving trip to see family. Close to I 77, industrial area, good maid service,continental breakfast includes waffles, bagels, mini powder sugar & choc donuts; hard boiled eggs.Walking distance to aldi, mcdonalds, popeyes, cookout.

We stayed twice coming and going from Florida. We were very surprised at how nice the rooms were. The place has been completely remodeled and seems like a much more modern hotel. We will stay here again on our next trip down.

1st Time Booking a Motel

I’ve never booked a motel before but I found this one when searching for a hotel with an affordable weekend rate. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy but even more so, the staff is very friendly and they will make sure you have what you need as soon as possible. I’d definitely book this place again.

Lesson Learned: Don't Believe Very Recent Reviews

I made a decision to stay here based on very recent reviews, and even going against the advice of a dear friend who lives in the area. There are truthfully more cons than positives. Pros: 1. Looks like the walls of the room got a fresh coat of paint and some art on them. 2. The bed didn't have bedbugs. 3. No roaches were found. Cons: 1. While there was a fresh coat of paint on the walls, they brought back in all of the wore down furniture that is in desperate need of replacement. 2. The mattress seems to have been damaged as it is sunken in the middle. Sheets were fitted over it. 3. There is a bug... maybe dead... on the wall by the sink area. 4. TV looks to be a 37", but if find programming in full HD, it really is only a 24". Nothing is full screen. 5. The area around the motel is ran down and made me question why I really decided to book there. When checking out the breakfast options, standard fare for free, but cleanliness is needed. When I was asked about my stay and mentioned the furniture and mattress, all I received was that they hope my next stay would be better. Staff seems not to care. I didn't go into this thinking I was going to be staying at the Ritz Carlton, I knew I was getting an older motel. However, if you have very low expectations and you are okay with just one night, you may want to give it a try
