Stunning hotel, first-class service!
I heard this hotel stay was going to be fantastic. That was clearly understated. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Gabe. It took less than two minutes to get me checked in and on my way to my hotel room. I stayed on the seventh floor in a corner room. beautiful views of downtown Rockford. The rooms were so beautiful, clean, and the lighting was perfect. I loved the desk where I was able to plug in and work for several hours immediately upon my arrival. The chairs for working were very comfortable. I also appreciated the hand written notes by a couple of the staff of the hotel, thanking me for staying with them. They made me feel so welcome and safe. All of the finishes in the hotel rooms were beautiful and the lighting and views were great. Can we talk about the bed in the room? WOW. It was incredibly comfortable. I took part in their complementary breakfast on the first day of my stay - it was perfect! Coffee and an egg muffin, great staff welcoming me. I highly recommend the crispy salmon from their current menu if you get a chance. I also had the opportunity to experience their conference food services. Everything was above and beyond for food. Pretty sure I gained five pounds in two days because I couldn't stop from trying everything available. Added some pictures here. It was all amazing Last but not least - The Top: Their rooftop bar and restaurant. Try the Lavender FOZ (vodka, lemon, and lavender). Comes with an edible flower to "top" it off! (Bad puns intended - Lol). You will not be sorry for staying/visiting here. I will be back next time. Perfect place for a family stay or a girls weekend!!!
Great Concept Well Executed
A great concept to turn an old factory into a delightful, slightly funky, loft style hotel. This is no cookie cutter Embassy Suites -- and I've stayed in more than a few. Better yet is the execution of the concept. The rooms are lofts -- but cozy. The lobby is expansive -- but inviting. The restaurant is well spaced -- but comfortable. Best yet was the fact that the staff of Embassy Suites Rockford seems to understand that while amenities will inevitably be curbed during the current situation, the only way to entice guests back is with a warm welcome and the absolute best you can do to make them feel at home. The pile of pillows on the bed was awesome. The fact that although I was late for happy hour the staff still eagerly offered me two complimentary beverages was quite different from the "slam the bar shut precisely on the hour" attitude of many/most ES properties. The fact that room service arrived on a tray and trolley rather than in a plastic bag dropped at the door (as is common during the health restrictions) made the late evening meal a delight. And the uniform warmth of the staff truly made me want to return when I can spend more time. I give few five star ratings on Trip Advisor. The Embassy Suites Rockford certainly earns one.
President
I just stayed in this amazing historic property in a modern and very comfortable room. Whomever designed this historic building with modern amenities is genius. What a fabulous experience!! Next time we will bring the rest of our team to these great meeting spaces
One of my favorite hotels!
I fell in love with this hotel. It is absolutely beautiful and a great value. The room was huge and had so much detail. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They had lots of (free) options for breakfast compared to other hotels since covid. The coffee shop was amazing as well. Parking was free and easy. Wifi worked great. The history behind this building was very interesting. A few times it sounded like flutes playing in the distance, I’m guessing the wind blowing through the old structure? I loved the concrete walls and high ceilings in the room. I wish every hotel was this nice!!
Beautiful new hotel with lovely views
This hotel in an old factory building was is a unique and memorable place to stay. My kids loved seeing all the ways the factory had been converted. Staff was so friendly from beginning to end of the trip. There's no breakfast room service, but the free breakfast options were good even with COVID precautions in place. Both cold and hot options available. We spring for a corner room with a river view and weren't disappointed with the huge windows and expansive view. When it's safe to enjoy restaurants and bars again, this will be a fun place to stay to be steps from good eating and drinking options in Rockford. We didn't try the pool, room service or roof top bar this time. The front desk staff had a deck of Phase 10 cards for my kids to play with in the expansive lobby. Will definitely come again. Weekend parking was free. More expensive on weekdays, though.
