We booked with hotel.com and was given the wrong phone number. I had emailed the B & B and let them know of our arrival which they had and no one met us. A person that lived next door helped us, but we waited over an hour. It was not bad once we got in, but I doubt that we will stay there again. There were nice restaurants near and were open on saturday, but not on sunday,

Travelled from UK east mids to Rome Cia. Flew with Ryanair & booked hotel with booking.com, 16th-19th June 2016.
Arrived around 7:30pm, had paid for transfers through Ryanair & was easy to find outside airport. Took 45min to get to main train station where your dropped off. Then got a taxi to the B&B in Prati costing 17euro. Arrived around 9:30 & someone was waiting for us to check us in.
Room was lovely. Cleaned every day. Shower was amazing & always hot water. Nice & modern. You don't come to Rome to sit in your room & all we used it for was a quick nap/chill late afternoon/early evening then somewhere to sleep. TV had no English channels but we found a music channel we had on in background as we were getting ready etc.
If your able to just walk everywhere as there is something new & amazing around every corner! We walked into Rome centre most evenings for food & drinks & only took 20-30mins! But around the hotel within a 5min walk you will find dozens of nice restaurants, cafes & a few bars. You are given a breakfast token for a cafe round the corner, coffee, croissant & juice - just enough to get you started for the day.
Expect to get approached all the time by people trying to sell guided tours especially around all the major attractions. To gain entry to Vatican City you will need an outfit that covers both knees & shoulders. We spent 20-30euro on lunches & 50-60euro on evening meals. Service charge (tip) of 10% is pretty standard & added by some places automatically. Check your bill & if it's not been added & you feel you receive good food & service then feel free to add your own tip.
Take a selfie stick. Take a hat & sun cream if in summer as it hit 32 on one of our days. Just buy one bottle of water & fill it up at one of hundreds of drinking water fountains around Rome. We never witnessed it but pickpockets are around so keep wallets etc in front pockets. If you have a back pack on (recommended) then don't put money or passports in there where they can be reached easily.
This was our first trip away without the kids & loved every second of it. Cannot wait to go again!!

Very good for some specific reasons

We stayed there in may, high season for Rome.we were about to arrive the day that fiumicino airport WA on fire,so we finally arrived in midnight. The owner was very kind everytime we talked on the phone and they were waiting us for check in up late.the girl on the desk was really really friendly and helpful.the room was very nice and had great design.the only thing I have to mention Is that maybe they should clean it better and more often.and that the last day we stayed there was sunday and up to 8 o'clock the bistro that we had a coupon for breakfast was closed.the underground station ottaviano is extremely near and so does the Vatican museums and many mid range shops for clothes etc.you will live there like Romans do,because you will see the everyday living and not only tourist places.my opinion is:walk, walk, walk and then use all the public transports.and of course ask where Romans eat, shop and entertain.
Ottimo b&b zona Vaticano
