Perfect for 2 people on a budget

My friend and I were visiting Roma for a few days and were trying to be a little more conservative with our budget. I found Hotel Flavio on Booking.com because they were having an excellent room deal and it was the best option since we didn't want to stay in a hostel.
It is within 5 mins walking distance from Roma Termini Station, which is perfect because it provides quick and easy transport to/from the airport, or if you're taking the train to any other city. However, the area is a bit sketchier after the sun goes down.
It was also nice to have a few bus and subway stops within 5-10 mins walking as well. But if you want to see more of the main attractions, you'll have to travel about 20-25 mins. The closest main attraction is the Colosseum, which took around 15 mins.
The room was a little small, but perfect for two people during a short stay! It was also nice and clean. The beds were pretty comfy, but since our room faced the street, it was a bit bright and quite noisy at night, even with the windows closed.
The deal we got on Booking.com was fantastic for our budget and the hotel itself is nice on the inside. Area is a little rougher, but there is always someone at the front desk and it feels quite safe.
All of the workers we interacted with were very nice and polite. When we checked in, the guy even helped us carry our luggage up the stairs since there is no lift.
Overall, if you are looking for a price-friendly hotel (that is not a hostel) for a short stay, Hotel Flavio is your place to go!
Great for a short stay

Spent one night here before heading to Naples. Perfect if you are want to be near Roma Termini, the train station. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. We could hear other people watching TV and talking in their room. We were very tired so it did not bug us but may not be great for light sleepers. If you're on a budget and looking to be close to the train station, I recommend this place.

Not too far from the station. Not the nicest area in Rome, but really good for the price.
This is exclusively because too many immigrates around are begging for money.
However, the place is really peaceful. No noise. Really calm. The hotel was really nice. The staff were really good and super polite. The room was cleaned everyday and the breakfast was brought for free in your room (of course if you paid for it or it was included in the price). The receptionist is available 24/7. You can also ask for advice and hold your luggage on your last day (just the right thing if you have to leave your room at 11.30 and catch the train at 7pm). Overall they succeeded all our expectations!

The hotel is very basic and affordable with a convenient location near the central train station. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The bathroom is very small. Motorcycle and car parking right in front of the hotel.
Handy location and nice a tidy

The location is good being a short walk from the rail station an plenty of restaurants nearby. Rooms very clean tidy and good size. Breakfast included is good, room service only. The cleaner / breakfast lady is lovely and friendly. The guy on reception could have been a bit more useful when I was trying to see if there was a lost and found for the Metro to see if I could find my discarded wallet / licence from a nasty old pick pocket - beware they are super fast and i had no idea until she barged out the door as they were closing. Domed pocket no defense
