Nice hotel, so so location

On arrival at this hotel, the welcome was non-existent more dry and business--like. The location of this hotel had to grow on me, I thought it was a bit too far from the centre, and a very long walk to it. There are buses close by that go to the metro and city centre also.
In this location there are not much restaurant choices the few that are here are very pricey. The wifi was good and consistent.
On checkin I was not surprised by the tiny size of the bed, because from my previous hotel stay at another hotel the bed was same size so it seems the norm in Rome. However, the bed was very comfy and room quiet, so I had a peaceful sleep.
The staff at this hotel were not overly friendly nor outgoing. Neither were they unpleasant!!
There is an also elevator for your convenience, even though a bit slow.
Breakfast was really nice and plentiful and this hotel didnt shut the doors at exact 10 am, cut off time.. this was really nice. had something for everyone, for the price paid for the room, it was perfect.
(See my website caribbeansolotraveller.com for my full review on Rome for tips from arrivals to departure esp. regarding taxis who triple charge from the airport.
I definitely recommend.
An upgraded hostel

The location is great, no question about it. The rest is terrible. I had linens with holes, dirty towels, no toilet paper; the rooms are shabby, no sound insulation whatsoever, they use something cheap and stinky for cleaning and the smell stays in the room. Toiletries are so bad you have to buy your own. The breakfast room does not have enough seats but that's actually ok since breakfast is so bad that from day 2 you just go somewhere else. The staff are very rude. It was a mistake and I suggest you look elsewhere.
Decent and Central

A clean, small hotel in Rome. The rooms are nothing fancy but just what you need when traveling on a budget. A 10-15 minute walk to the main train station, Termini. The streets surrounding the hotel can be a bit noisy until midnight (it’s Rome and people eat and drink in the open sections of the restaurants) so be aware of that. Not the hotel’s fault! I enjoyed my stay here and the breakfast that was included in the price was good not fancy but good. The coffee was out of a machine, enough to get me to the nearest cafe for a more authentic Italian coffee!

Hotel is centrally located to public transportation and various restaurants are in the general vicinity...including a great pizza ship right next door. The breakfast is the same everyday and is basic. The staff is friendly and helpful. The single twin room was cozy, the street can be a little noisy at night due to the restaurants across the street. Overall a good hotel for the price.
