Avoid this hotel
I would simply say my experience with this hotel was worst of all the trips made in Europe and not because I was expecting any 5 starish service or extra towels, just because I raised a concern of using a shared bathroom and the booking was made for a private bathroom and for which I paid in full for, that also one month in advance. We reached hotel at 11:30 pm at night and happened to meet the hotel attendant at that time Mr Nadeer. Mr Nadeer told us that the only room available is the one which had bathroom outside the room passing reception , which was commonly used by everyone. When I raised the concern Mr. Nadeer straight away asked us to leave the hotel in middle of night. Even being courteous could have worked but Mr Nadeer choose to be rude and arrogant let alone apologizing for the mistake that hotel had made. We happened to call booking.com and when they tried to reach the owner of the hotel , she convinently replied saying she can't speak in English . Once a request for cancellation was made, the so called Italian speaking owner of the hotel came to us and threatened us in English saying that there will be no compensation and that we should leave hotel immediately When told to her about the mistake that is being made from their side , she said that the difference between the room with private bathroom and the one which was given to us was 2 euros and that we should take 2 euros for the mistake they have made and accept the horrible looking room or leave immediately. To which I replied back saying that she first needs to stop threatening n being rude n arrogant to us us and stop screaming at us, as we cannot stoop to her level. Ofcouse at 12 midnight , in a totally new country , had just left no choice but to accept the horrible room, as booking.com asked us to wait until morning till the Italian interpreter arrives. Avoid this hotel as "respect " is the first principle of hospitality and this hotel is pioneer in disrespecting it's guests.
Moderately priced, decent accommodation
Location is a plus, lot of eateries around. Roma Termini is walking distance. We stayed in a double bed room. It was a little smaller than expected. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was tiny (but got the job done ;)). Hosts were very warm and helpful. Would recommend it if you are on a budget and will spend most of the day outside.
DONT GO THERE
I can't being to tell you how disgusting the room was that we were shown in this B&B. It was our last night in Rome. Booked all 3 stays with Booking.com. The pictures on Booking.com resembled nothing like the room. The lady that showed us the room did not speak English. We stupidly paid her 65 EUROS thinking we had to sleep somewhere for the night. In the end we just felt we couldn't stay there so after finding another hotel went back to got our cases. I smell from the hall way was absolutely horrible. We left and never looked back. I am not fussy as long as clean but could not bear the thought of spending the night. The pictures on Booking.com show the hall way as a nice clean area with nice décor. It just had a plastic table. No shared kitchen as stated on Booking.com. The wardrobe had chains and a padlock around the handles. The wiring and plugs hung and tapped under the TV on the wall. The bedding was nothing like the pictures on Booking.com. They were old and smelly. The so called wooden dressing table had some kind of padding on it and was taped to cover the top. No side cabinets. Couldn't get to one side of the bed. Couldn't hardly move in the room anyway. I have obviously contacted booking.com. I took photo's. Please do not take any notice of the pictures on booking.com. I think it is a scam. The old lady was speaking to another lady who spoke good English about paying the room tax and took cash. They also showed us on booking.com as a no show!!! I will be battling with Booking.com to get the money 110 EUROs for the hotel we had no choice to go. However we just don't want anyone else to have to experience going there. I hope this helps
Decent budget accomodation
If you are visiting Rome on a budget I would recommend this hotel. I did find it a little hard to find. It wasn't anything like I've experienced before. There is bronze sign on the wall and you have to buzz to be let in. Once inside Elena was very welcoming. She explained everything clearly, she even loaned us a hairdryer and let us store our bags in the room for the day because our train wasn't until 6pm. There is a shared kitchen with free coffee and a fridge. The room is a good size, the bathroom is tiny but we managed for 2 days. The location makes up for it. If you are looking for luxury accomodation this isn't it. I think it's good value for money in Rome. If I come back I would stay here again
Nice
Nice to stay there. I was shocked how small bathroom can be, but if you arent too fancy its ok 😊 really.good location, good price, all what do you need. For me its great that you can cook there. good thing if you want to save some money
